It means a lot to me and my friends at Dropshock prints, we’ve been struggling with this for a while cause we want to provide some our converted items for free since they were conversions of other files. But seems we can’t because of it. We’re currently working for copyright in Colombia where Milo is based just for the protection of ours and the original artists work, but after these issues it’s just not possible. Thank you!!
It gets mildly worse. Other eBay users like Mooyii’s pandora sell not only LS3D’s legs, but also perssonsd’s files and Customakia’s files for figures like the harbinger and other characters (they don’t even link the creator of these files)
If I need to print raw parts from someone's free files for someone I just charge them for the cost of resin and shipping. That way I'm not making any money and I'm only replenishing the cost for the resin from it and they can get the parts they want. I don't agree with upcharging for raw prints of free files. Painted is a different story though.
I dont necessarily mind people sellijg them if they are custom painted and shit like that, however if you're just selling the base print itself that should be straight up criminal tbh.

3d printing is the future of the mcx line. Even if mega stops producing figs, 3d prints will keep the community alive for decades. If this continues, it will absolutely devastate the community. And, it hurts me as well. I have several 3d files I got for free from you guys and I have no intentions of abusing that. However, because of this, do you think any of these creators would just let you have your files for free? No
*Sigh* if I somehow managed to get the stl file for this parts (either legit purchase or gift from the creator). I won't be selling them. Instead I'll waste more money printing them all for myself and make a huge collection of my own. Now that this happen, no creator will sell their stl files anymore. 😢

In some cases, like Milo's, he literally gives away the files so you CAN print it yourself. LS3D doesn't share his files, so if you managed to remake it by just looking at his photos and printed them for your own use, that would still be totally fine

Damn that’s crazy. I actually bought a figure or two from him and after hearing the news. I went to eBay and saw he changed his name from customco to funfigures. Had I known I wouldn’t have bought from him.
He paid for a few, told LS3D he was tired of waiting and then proceeded to steal from Drophshock to print them himself and sell them. That is not acceptable.

@@sapiouxs That is not true. Have you seen the difference between well designed 3D parts and poorly designed ones? It takes a lot of work to make these things not only look good but actually work with Mega's system. Taking the work that these 3D artists have put into their craft and simply reproducing it and selling it with no other modifications is stealing and unacceptable.
@@DemarcationMedia you still don’t grasp that everyone can have access to to these files for the prints, I talked to customco myself and he showed me the heads he crafted himself verses the ones he bought unpainted, they’re so similar I don’t see a difference, this isn’t a situation where anyone is “stealing” it’s not as if L3SD or whatever his name might be is the one painting the figures.
This is scummy, but does anyone know the legality behind this, because ultimately people like LS3D are using IP owned by 343/Microsoft, it seems like a weird grey area to me, the behaviour is scummy but i guess the best we can do is spread the fact he is stealing.
Am I missing something here? Most if not all of Customco15 listing were parts stolen off of Dropshock Prints and a Tinkercad file provided by a reddit user. I don't understand how you made LS3D seem like the main person affected by all this. LS3D has never made any of his files available for print. Please give more credit to the Dropshock Print team.

I looked into this, ls3d is obviously lying and this is just another way to promote himself. Seems to me someone wants to control the market on 3d sculpting and printing parts. When I looked at his page the seller has nothing that looks stolen to me.
Then why is he not going after other people who actually have popularity and backing such as the others mentioned in this video? surely they are bigger threats than some random eBay user.

It is a bit of a grey area, though the fact is, the prints are scaled down and properly sized by the artists so they own some degree of it
