I graduate from the United States Coast Guard Academy in May of 2022, and have at least 5 years of Coast Guard service to follow.
I am also a Christian, and it has been on my heart to share the love of God through social media. We'll see where He takes me on this journey :)

Great video Erin. no mention of Football game?? Weather was fantastic...reminded me of some of those days when I would walk around the grounds and just marvel in the place and the beautiful weather.

Awesome video as always! Nice to see your parents and see the love and support they have for you. I do sometimes miss that area. Used to love going to Mystic and Niantic, the Mystic seaport museum and aquarium. All those fun things. Thanks for sharing your story and Godspeed to you and your family!

When I was in USN there was a program to help enlisted get into Annapolis. I tried and took the test, I missed the cut off by 3%. They asked the following year if I was still interested, I declined. But I made E5 just a few months later.
Keep striving for the best, and may God bless you in your travels.
Those first few years away from your parents while you are at school or in the military can be a tough adjustment. After all you go from seeing your friends and family every day to going months without being around them. That is why organizations like OCF are so important, we all need a social support system to help us get through the day.
The good news is that at least your folks will get to rack up some frequent flier miles visiting you (and isn't your sister in college in Virginia or North Carolina?). Best of luck with your final year at the Academy.
