Easy! Watch the replay yourself and don't allow yourself to be influenced by the commentators. The kid never had control of the ball. People make mistakes and if the opportunity presents itself to correct that mistake, then they should do so and that's what the ref did. Besides, no one secured the ball except for 43 at the end and he was out of bounce at the time.
Ball is moving as he hits the ground and he never secures it (like at all, Miami comes away with it but out of bounds so it's incomplete as opposed to an interception). Tie goes to the offense but tie indicates both players had possession neither did.
The ball had landed on a Miami hurricane's lap. The Vtech players laid down on the ground, defeated, without arguing the call...cause they knew. Bogus TD call to begin with 🙌🏼
@bubbagumrus, no, it wasn't. Clearly, there was not enough there to overturn the call in the first place. They just couldn't let Miami lose, it's that simple.

Not a fan of either team, cam ward looks like a baller tho but from that last replay idk how u overturn it. Or maybe im blind but to me it looked like inconclusive evidence.
The call on the field was a touchdown on the last play. So, by rule you have to have indisputable video evidence to overturn the call. There is no way that you can see for sure that he didn't catch that ball because of the camera angles and the resolution. The refs don't even know how the rules work. Even if they thought that he didn't catch it, which he probably didn't, you still have to follow the rules and if you have no clear evidence, they play should stand as called. It is a touchdown until proven it is not a touchdown, not it is not a touchdown until proven it is a touchdown. Like come on, the refs don't even understand basic review rules.
@MadMac-15 catch needs control of possession which the receiver never had, since ball clearly is juggled and eventually falls out of bounds. "indisputable", is a very subjective term anyhow
All these blind folks watching the game.... the ball was moving the entire time... it would have been an interception had the UM player not been out of bounds. Right call by reply... horrible call on the field. Zero chance they saw that he any possession.
No dude both their butts were in bounds and the ball was caught shoulda been a TD he WR had it with both feet down and his rear down then the miami player ripped it out after it was already TD..
Call on the field should not have been a TD. Once it was reviewed there wasn't enough evidence to disprove it was a TD. Two horrible on the spot rulings made on that final play
If there was any chance that he might have caught it, the refs did the right thing by initially calling it a touchdown, then going back and reviewing it to try to make the right call. That was a tough call but i dont think he had control of it fully when he hit the ground and therefore didnt complete the catch. Just my opinion
Only person robbed was the receiver because he never had possession. I’m literally watching ball constantly moved between arms and hands the entire time.
Not a fan of either team but that was a robbery, my issue with it is the fact they ruled it a touchdown, nowhere close to enough evidence to overturn it. Miami got bailed out all night with calls, it’s clear the ACC needs their representative in the playoffs. Actually feel so bad for VT I’m now a fan! 20:20 is what I’m referring to, there not enough evidence to overturn the call.
If you actually watched the game from a fair point of view you would’ve seen how the refs literally did everything they could to give the game to VT. That ending was a make up for the awful calls earlier in the game
@@CheeseLover23 quit with the armchair referee stuff, your opinion is just as valid as a baby. Don’t state the sequence of events like it’s fact. I’m not arguing if it was a “catch” but rather the call on the field, and the decision to overturn said call based off a lack of evidence! I’m mad at the fact that it was ruled a touchdown, that means to overturn the call it has to be clear evidence that the ball was incomplete. Also, the guy that “punched” the ball out was OUT OF BOUNDS, he’s an ineligible player and cannot touch the ball. Anything that guy does once he’s out of bounds is invalid. Again not arguing if it’s a catch, but rather the call on the field and the rules surrounding the play. I’m not gonna critique the play and play make believe referee :)

Vt guy was holding the ball for several seconds while on ground, then it was knocked away. Canes not played a team thus far whose probability of winning was greater than 20%, Va. Tech was 12.7. Canes were - 17.5, won by 4? Natl. ranking a joke based on strength of schedule.
If it takes 20 seconds for 2 officials to make a call, it's incomplete. You don't assume a catch, particularly when the other team comes away with the ball. Ward needs to clean it up.
Ward still showed why he great buyt he did make crucial mistakes Miami beat theyself tbh
@@4s4l229 Some of Miami's best QBs have had off games. What you need to pay attention to is his command of the team, calmness, confidence and sheer will to help the team win. I would agree with you if this was a pattern, but so far, I'm not seeing a pattern of bad decisions.

You overturn it when the player did not have full control when he landed. ( not a Miami fan ).
@@felixvasquez1570wasn’t indisputable evidence.
@@GensRealty😂😂😂😂
Ball is moving as he hits the ground and he never secures it (like at all, Miami comes away with it but out of bounds so it's incomplete as opposed to an interception).
Tie goes to the offense but tie indicates both players had possession neither did.
The ball had landed on a Miami hurricane's lap. The Vtech players laid down on the ground, defeated, without arguing the call...cause they knew. Bogus TD call to begin with 🙌🏼

What a way to start the weekend Saturday is going to be wild
It’s wild in southern Florida ……. Holy smokes ❤❤❤❤ .. I love this game
@@MadMac-15 👍🏼

Call on the field should not have been a TD. Once it was reviewed there wasn't enough evidence to disprove it was a TD. Two horrible on the spot rulings made on that final play
I think you nailed. Just facts, not emotions.
If there was any chance that he might have caught it, the refs did the right thing by initially calling it a touchdown, then going back and reviewing it to try to make the right call. That was a tough call but i dont think he had control of it fully when he hit the ground and therefore didnt complete the catch. Just my opinion
3 brain cell comment
you don’t understand how the overrule works, nothing was indisputable that would’ve overturned the ORIGINAL call
