Thanks for uploading this video 4 years ago my dude! My 2000 Camaro had the exact problem - blowing A/C, etc., only out the defroster vent. I watched your video, ordered the part you recommended in the comments below ($11-ish on eBay), installed it today following your directions, and sure enough, A/C blowing out the vents again, heat blowing out at the floor, and the mixes working perfectly too! Thanks much!!
I know the video is 2 years old by now but I hope someone finds this helpful. I did replace the ax selector switch on my firebird with a used eBay part. At the end I had the same issue like this guy by the ac only blowing through the defrost vents, after seeing what he went through I thought I was going to have to do the same with the vacuum valve but just for kicks I turned on my car and tested the selector and it worked fine blowing air through all the different vents. I guess I just had to turn the car on. I hope this saves you a part and the trouble of removing that pos vacuum valve. ✌️
@@clutchergarage cranked it up. Still nothing. The intake was off a few weeks ago. 02 z28. Intake back on ac ran great for 30 than out of no where just stop blowing out of the vents. Its so tight in there I can't see anything.
@@brianfoster4493 there is a one way check valve in the back of the intake make sure that didn’t come loose. If it isn’t loose make sure it isn’t backwards
