This was the peak of Fashion Photo Ruview, were Raja and Raven were so shady and funny, plus weren’t over exhausted by Drag Race.
I love that raja and raven are being more critical. Its season 9 and they have to step their game up. Season 3 it was okay bc drag race was still getting off its feet. But these queens have had 8 seasons of trial and error so they should know how to look on the runway. Also to everyone who's getting mad that their faves are being critique to harshly the show is literally founded on the basis of being critiqued if everyone got toots it would be over in a minute flat
Joetta Slanger but let's not act like Raja's or Raven's toots or boots are always good per say. They have very questionable ones and what I think some people get annoyed about is favoritism and hypocrisy. We get it's season 9 but that doesn't mean be overly critical to where it's a little frustrating for lack of a better word.

Just Here I'm sorry but I don't agree. And I stan Sasha like crazy but you have to call a spade a spade I did not like that outfit. Also you have to understand their pov they have been on they show they know what goes on we don't. They know the kind of looks you need to present to win (or be first runner up twice 😉). And these newer queens have so many references so many resources and they come on the show in a cut up jumpsuit and bikini that Nicki Minaj wore 2012 Labor Day weekend? Give me a break. Finally this is not an attack on their character, or their talent. It's just what they presented to the judges if you want to make your own fashion photo Ruview you have a UA-cam channel go ahead and toot all your faves but no one will watch.
11 yes!! If you have watch all, most, or even a couple season things get begin to redundant. They expect more, because they have had past queens making mistakes for them so now they know and I swear if anyone doesn't know how to sew this season I'm gonna lose it.
Joetta Slanger Seriously. Anyone who attempts to compare the level of polish of early season queens to the ones of today are forgetting that, back then, drag culture wasn't yet an industry, and queens didn't circumnavigate the globe on world tours and earn thousands of dollars per gig. A decade or more ago, queens weren't drag queens by profession; they usually held day jobs in order to support themselves, and had far less resources to work with.
If you've ever seen the Raja Drawja episode with Willam, they talk about their early experiences during the nineties and early 2000s in the Hollywood drag scene - when they would make literally fifty bucks a night, and gay bars and clubs back then only did a single drag night a week.
The queens of today have so much more money, social capital, education, support, visibility and fame. A queen of yesteryear didn't have managers to book them jobs, stylists to dress them, choreographers and producers to fine tune their performances and etcetera. They didn't even have UA-cam videos to help them learn how to apply makeup like the queens of today; they had to learn through trial and error. They mostly stuck to performing at a few bars, not globetrotting like is the norm currently, and most would make their own costumes, not have designers custom make couture ensembles for them. In short, the queens of today have so much to work with, so there's really no excuse for shoddy work - ESPECIALLY if you're on mothafucking-RuPaul's Drag Race©!
do you people, who JUST started watching drag race really think you know more about drag than actual drag Queens who have been in the business for a long time and where one of them has already won drag race? they are not bitter, they just know drag. get over it and don't watch it if you can't stand them booting your favourite queen.

They're both established asf in the drag community, and they've proved their talents before. They experiment with their looks which imo is good? To be fair, Aja did explain why she was wearing the mask (in her voice-over while she was walking down the runway). The look still wasn’t a toot but I’m pretty sure the harness wasn’t meant to be fetish-y.

The crazy smile is part of her drag style. People don't realize that Valentina represents a glam telenovela character that is overdramatic and campy. That's why she is so over the top with her expressions and "living her fantasy".
@@YourMajesty143 except it was fake because when she other queens caught her off guard and her face cracked in season 9, like Trinity in untucked and Aja at the reunion, the real Valentina came out. She was more authentic in ASE when she became the exaggerated telenovella villaintina...i actually lived for her doing that and thought it was great.
The smile was a calculated act for the cameras and very forced.

@@williamskelton325 - Yes it is fake, bc it's part of her character. She talked about this already. Her face cracked bc at that point, James came out & had enough. James went through a deep depression & cut himself off from the world after the humiliating elimination. That's why he didn't respond to Farrah's texts or interact on social media. But Valentina/James didn't deserve all the hate she got. The cast was given way to much alcohol during the reunion, and Valentina had to break character when they unfairly all went in on her, bc her depression re-emerged.
She was kind to the girls, lending out her care package to everyone who was bored in their rooms, being supportive of Farrah before her lip syncs, going to the pool with Pepper to keep her company during their "off" days (aka when the cameras weren't rolling), etc. They had no issue being her friend later. She explained her reasons to Farrah PRIVATELY (and not on camera), then Aja & her did a gig together, Pepper & her hung out the whole time on the world tour as besties -- and y'know if Pepper is cool with somebody, that means they're good people.
Btw her & Trinity are life-long sisters, plus she became sisters with Violet. Not to mention, Valentina took the heat for the M&M and champagne rumors, bc she didn't wanna throw Nina Bonina under the bus. Clearly, there have been way bitchier contestants, so the hate for her isn't fair. But bitchiness & shadiness is a celebrated part of drag culture anyhow, so even if she was a bitch, who cares? Like Katya once said "Since when was a drag queen being a bitch, a bad thing?"

Roxxxy's wigs tend to clash with her foundation and is afraid of color. They're both EXTREMELY POLISHED.

Omni Cocx well in reality they have been criticized by queens they've critiqued as well for some of their judgements. But as for why people get mad, they either don't like the favoritism, hypocrisy, or overly critical attitude at times displayed on this show. Personally I actually like this web series but I do have major problems with that. Some other people could have their own reasons.

She overdraws her lips and it's not cute. It's a common practice to make your lips look bigger, but there is a technique to it to make it look like your actual lips and she just...doesn't have it down.

Lil Kitty her drag persona is inspired by telenovelas, wich are very VERY overexagerated and overlydramatic. She takes her act very seriously so that is why her gestures are like that. She is a baby in the drag world yet she has a perfect polished drag act and never goes out of her character. So yes, she does "weird faces" for a reason. 😊

NO, it wasn't funny, it was a childish attitude from a very old and allegedly mature winner.
Valentina has said herself that when she doesn't know what to do she just smiles. She knows it's a put on and a character. I am a HUGE Valentina fan. I'd love for her to win. Raja was just taking a bit of a piss out of her. This is Drag! That's part of it. She's exceptional. I hope she keeps making that face. Part of what I love about Valentina is how ON she is all the time. She gives us a consistent narrative through Valentina and her boy self. Raja was having a bit of fun. That's what this series is. It's fun! Their job is literally to find the one(those shoes though gurl, she got off easy) tiny thing wrong with an impressive standout queen to make fun of. That's what this is.
Is Valentina's go to an exaggerated grin? Yes it is. But that total commitment is what makes her so great. It's ok to read a bitch a little. This one is good too! Watch out for Valentina
You may find funny when people are pulling faces to mock someone who is showing her face for the first time to the world, when you have certain position as a winner, but I don't. Being a winner have responsabilities, and raja is such an irresponsible one bc this is not the first time she is a bully towards some young queens in such a superior and obnoxious attitude. I don't find it funny by any meanings, I do like Valentine and I do feel dissapointed by raja, period.
