It's hilarious that the ethnic sounds get faders so you can decide for yourself how much quijada you can handle. I think this would pair well with my TR-727. You know it wouldn't be hard to give it a trigger out and sync other stuff with it.
Sounds quite a bit like Jarre's Oxygene. Anywho, the variety of the rhythms is quite bewildering, and the sound is one of the kind. Thanks a lot of posting.
Hey! I'm on the market to buy one of those but it doesn't have the colored buttons. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I already wonder if they were different versions of the minipops throughout the years and whether it sounded different. Thanks for your help.
Can all of these beats be listened to continuously anywhere? I have a Thomas Bandbox and Playmate rhythm sequencer that hooks to the BB's straight drum sounds. Before the Playmate the BB's sounds were accessed by the organ's lower manual & OR the bass pedals- so the oom pa pa was any pedal doing the ooms, and any lower key doing the pa's. The playmate sequenced the beats and even served to trigger the intervals of the pedals & keys in sync with the rhythms, but you could also interact on the fly
Nice, never knew it was this rhythm box that created those historically known drum sounds that JMJ used on Oxygène!

This unit makes that hissing sound while powering up, it is like an imaginary audience jeering you (I had one).
Great Video!!!! I'm 17 years old again!!!
Love the sounds especially BD. Nicely demonstrated too. Thanks!

Which setting did JM Jarre use in Oxygene part 4? =)
Rumba.
Rumba with Slow Rock combined, doubles the tempo
