I like her slow tempo take on this piece. I prefer Chee Yun Kim's somewhat. What Ms. Kawai could learn from Chee Yun is how utilize facial expressions of engagement with the theme without such exaggerated facial expression. Her facial expressions are extreme in almost all of her videos. She is fine violin player and need not try to amplify the effect with extreme facial contortions or the rather silly staging here. Still, we see real skill in slowing the tempo a bit without harming the effect of this lovely piece. Greg Gibbs
i like how she plays violin, but vocalise is a piece just as many other music pieces that has been written by russian composers, tries to draw an image of a Russian soul and spirit and what do we Russians represent. I didnt like the stage effect with the african man walking with that candle didn't got the point of it. should listen to same piece by Galina Oleinichenko.
cience FunS I said that I don't get the point of this set up. Besides I enjoy how she plays but still the way our artists and musicians are presenting it is way better. If u listen to different versions of how different people present it especially russians u will understand me.
Vocalise itself represents russian soul and our spirit. As I already said it before I like how she played it it's ok, but I don't get the point of some black dude walking there it ruins the feeling. Even though she didn't passed the feeling that rachmaninoff wanted to pass but I enjoyed her violin play.
Foreigners can't understand what is it that I'm trying to say.most will think that I'm nationalist or what soever, same as many foreigners can't understand japanese culture and various aspects of different cultures. It is the right of other people who represent those cultures defend and fix mistakes that others are trying to impose. In nowadays people adopt cultural aspects of others and claim it to be theirs, which in fact a violation and not true. Therefore other people who adopt this small aspects forget the true legacy of where it all came from. Therefore people loose the trace of origin of everything.
WTF with the man carrying a candle walking around. So distracting and cartoonish. The music supposed to make one somewhat sad .. but it made me laugh instead.
Bravo🎉❤
Que no vayan a silenciar también ésta hermosura de video, siempre y cuando no sea para comercio, ¿nos privaremos de la música y la poesía?...

I don't like this direction, stage effect....Why she did imagine a walking black man hoiding a candle with this song?I wonder.
