Mike I'm In. I just started my youtube channel last weekend so I will post a video. Its going to be hard to choose a kit but I was wondering if sprint cars was allowed. I grew up watching Steve Kinser at my hometown track. thanks
I just commented over on Jason's channel I might have to jump in. My commission build is a Saturday night short track car already. Even though I said I wouldn't do any gb's this year, I might have to just do this one.
Saturday night short tracks means sprint cars to me. I’m in. I’ll try to do a local driver. Plus this will get me out of the house and go to the track to get some photos.
Sounds like and awesome group build, was wishing I had more time, as I'd join in, been racing cars my whole life, but time poor, and got to many other unfinished projects 😢 have fun Mike, like that Mustang kit ❤ Cheers KC 🏔🥶❄️🦘🦘🇦🇺🤝🇺🇲👌👋
I'm definitely in Mike. I've spent 40 years working on everything from bombers to dirt and pavement late models. Worked on a few Sprint cars too. Gonna build a model of the car that started it all when I was 10 years old. My brother and his buddy built a dirt street stock from a 70 Ford LTD 4 door. I'm gonna use the AMT Ford Galaxie taxi kit. This should be fun. 😁
I love the lower budget small teamed short track cars. Would it be okay if i build several and entered them one at a time over the next year? I already started on my 29 ford model A powered roadster for a prewar track roadster today trying to get the body in shape. And someday I need to build a model of the 65 mustang I started wrenching on back in about 1990 and eventually make a model of my 80 Pontiac street stock i ran. Currently I don't have a UA-cam channel yet but i guess this might be a motivation to start one...!
Hey Mike Jason @ Blueox model Shop Did His Video For " This " Awesome GB & NOW I'M SUBBED To Your Channel & Saying I'm IN Just Gotta Decide What I'm Doing Now 🤔🤔‼️ GBA 🙏🤗 Gary.
Parts box is fine just try to put some stuff together make a video telling us what you plan to do and we look forward to seeing what you build but kit parts box scratch build are all welcome
Hey Mike! I would love to join this group build but i dont have a youtube channel up and running yet. Is there any way i can join in? I love this idea cause i love short track racing better than NASCAR. Thanks!! Chris
I'm thinking about what I would like to build before getting in. It sounds like a great idea! Are the 3D printed bodies or the resin bodies able to be heated up to bang em up? Or am I limited to a plastic body for that? I remember watching local racing were the bodies are so banged up you can see the outline of the door bars in the sheet metal.
That sounds like a fun build. I have fond memories of going to our local dirt track as a kid. So I my have to jump in on this one.
