I'm with you on the color being difficult to identify with such small squares. I also use the answer sheet part to identify the color better.

I absolutely LOVE this book and Disney in general! I think the picture will still turn out great even with the two similar dark browns.

This book is cute, I like the use of the black glitter gel pen for the outline.

I love the designs the artist put in this book. Even with a large area of a single color, you can see it. The picture is really pretty so far. (Judge Judy is always good for a few laughs.)
I love your color & chats! It is so nice to share your hobby with everyone. I like the result already of this mystery.
The good thing about this hobby is that you can use any color, even if it looks darker than it should be ;)
Holy cannoli why have I never done glitter for the black!?!!? Going to have to try that asap. I very much "cheat" I actually keep the back flap as a bookmark for whatever page I'm working on if that makes sense. Also unfortunately I think almost everyone who has tried these books makes color mistakes on their first ones =(( If there are a ton of similar shades I pick them all first instead of as I got because that way if I dont have an exact match I can at least have a light medium dark or whatever it may be. I most often use my super tips, or the Staedtler dual ended ones. I have used the pitt pens but mostly in the Mickey Donald and Co where there is a very limited range of choices (at least in the beginning of the book) And I make a tiny mark right on the circle at the bottom to make sure the color is close if I'm not sure. Dont give up on these books!! ((or this page! Just switch Lady's color now!!!)) It definitely gets easier the more you do!!
I’m definitely not giving up!!! Am having too much fun on this one. I’m going to try the other markers you mentioned and will definitely be picking my colors out ahead of time from now on!!
Now I get it! I’ve heard Danielle talk about outlining but I never really knew what she was talking about because I don’t know if I’ve ever heard her mention that black is #1. I love the idea to use the black gel pen and I’ll definitely be doing that. Love that book! Thanks!! (wasband 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Hi.Lisa. Don't sweat the confusion. Poop happens! The coloring book that you're coloring out of is really cute. I've never tried color by number because I don't have alot of markers and I don't think I would be able to match with the colors I would need. It looks like fun though. Have a great day!
I use Tombow water based markers for my Disney books. They work beautifully!

Hi!! Just wondering if alcohol markers like the Ohuhu brand would bleed through the paper? I’m wondering one kind of markers is best. Thanks!!
Any kind of alcohol marker will bleed through the paper. You can only use water based markers in any double sided book.

How thick is the paper? Do the markers go through to the other side?
The paper is very nice. Regarding markers, water based markers work fine on this paper. Of course, alcohol based markers will bleed through to the other side.
I Love hoy your image came out! I wanted those markers for ever but still haven't decided if I should buy them or not. For this kind of pictures I just use crayola colored pencils or tombows :) Hobby!

These Coloriages Mystères and smaller pads are one of my favorite (although I personally am not a Disney fan, so I buy the non-Disney ones) and I always use brush pens. They work great in the small corner and details.
If I am really not sure about which color to match it up with at the bottom of the page, I take a quick sneak-peak at the back with the end result. I know that won't work for some people, but I am too much a perfectionist to not do that. And I always match my colors upfront, because there is always the risk that you will not have a shade halfway through. I prefer to see upfront if I need to go one shade lighter to have enough shades. Just take a note block and test some shades and write them down.

I also use my brush markers in these books (Tombow and Koi) and almost no streaking .

Yes, you definitely could use pencils in these books.

My coloring book collection is getting out of hand, as I have no more shelf space to store them. Despite this, I add more to my wishlist with each haul and completed pages video I watch.
I'm not even going to get into how much I've spent on art supplies.

These Coloriages Mystères are a puzzle, Lisa! You can't be complaining about their difficulty because they have no 'thick borders' around the colored patches! That's their strong point! Hobby ;)
Book we had some huge ones too but Im glad we didn't get that cold..I cant deal with the cold when it hits below 0 BooK

You could finish lady’s ear with a lighter brown for it to look closer to her actual coloring

Hi, the picture looks good, it's hard to choose the best shades, but these will be good. Your videos are so nice to paint, coloring and creating is my big hobby :-). And maybe I missed something, but I didn't see the promised cat Misty in the video :-( I saw her somewhere in previous videos, where she was still blue :-D But there are never enough cats :-)

You were one of the people i used to watch in the begining when i got back into this hobby. I used to watch your videos whenever i could find the time. I have the star wars version of this but i find It bothers me when i use waterbased markers.

I had the same problem with my first picture in one of these books! I did Cinderella and the shadow in her cheekbone turned out too dark. She looked like a corpse! 😂
