They're not remaking it for "second" time. Last time was remastered. "Remaster" is just a bit graphical update. "Remake" is rebuilding the game from groundup
Yeah, I realized that calling the remaster a remake was a bad idea as I was uploading this video, I kept this video up as I thought that the main point of the video still stands on its own
idk what this has to do with midpack days gone. Sony was right to never greenlight a 2nd one because the game's director is an asshole and the game itself is so mid. If you want PlayStation exclusives to keep being as reliable as they are (TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War) then Sony has to pull the plug on the only huge recent exclusive to have gotten such mixed reviews and push for something better. Their model works The first remake of TLOU was really just a port. They moved a light source or 2 probably but it got made because PS3 games don't work on PS4 or PS5 due to hardware architecture. If you look at it like that (the correct way) then this is the first REAL rerelease of the game ever and it's crazy looking and done with a lot of care. It's not like they put new textures in the game and called it a day. It's on a new engine with new assets and all the facial animations are redone using new technology and the original mocap studio performance videos. $70 is steep I can't deny that but in terms of the game itself and how new it is it's literally brand new besides the story, which is so good and still gaps almost every other story in games that it doesn't really matter, especially for first time players. Call it a cash grab or whatever but Sony literally cannot grab cash out of your pockets. If consumers buy it then they want it. I hate this common theme of people saying "companies are grabbing the consumers money" it's literally not true and if the games didn't sell the companies wouldn't make them. Gamers don't take responsivity for literally running the entire market and they also have a low quality standard anyways I clicked on this video on TLOU reddit and decided to watch it because I'm so bored and I'm just passing time until the remake comes out in 60 days LOL shoutout to buying games at Walmart
