That’s in the modern era. Africa and Asia as a whole has connection for sure based on ancient interactions. Even cultural practices in parts of Asia are seen in Africa. A lot of change in the world took place between the 1400s/1500s thru the 1900s when colonization (and the slave trade) were taking place. Colonization didn’t just happen in Africa, it took place in Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Connections were broken during those times, a lot of indoctrination via European missionaries happened (and this happened via the children, not adults). Today, people around the world are the children of the original indoctrinated children who lost connection to others. So yes, that might be somewhat true by todays standards but that’s definitely not true based on the past and ancient times. Africa and Asia had a lot of interactions before that time period where things drastically changed. China for the most part closed off all interactions when colonization started to dominate.

Your experiences are lovely. I worked in a Burmese refugee camp many years ago, and some of the people there had never seen a white person before. The children thought I was so strange, and one little boy used to run away from me, because he was scared! Took him two months to sit next to me! You are indeed a star! I felt it was so kind for the people to introduce their children. We know how easy it is to walk by and whisper things and you can see some older people pointing even. It seemed they wanted their children not to miss out on the experience of meeting a black man. That to me is beautiful, that they would consider it an experience not worth missing out on for their kids.
Yeah, they're just curious. It's definitely a very rare experience for them. Seeing someone very different from them is very refreshing and exciting. At least they don't have violent intents like some other places.

Sounds like you speak the langaue well and the local really appreciate your efforts. I lived and worked in South Korea from 2000- 2007 and taught myself how to speak read and write Korean. Hello, it’s more about curiosity there, and when Chinese see more foreigners they’ll become used to the scene. I believe it’s very common to see foreigners in Shanghai, Beijing, and such metropolitans, so people there are less curious about foreigners.

I lived close by to Nanjing in Yangzhou (Only 45mins on bullet train) and Nanjing is one of my most favourite cities I've ever been to. My friend and I used to miss a lot of western foods we couldn't get in Yangzhou so we'd go once a month. Makes me really wanna go back again!

😂i used to go to school in Nanjing and went to fuzi miao with some friends. Four black women all together. We had a group of middle aged men wanting to take pictures with us and videotape us. Then a homeless man started following us around mumbling to himself. It was all very creepy but very a part of the experience. I have very good memories of Nanjing and miss it a lot.😊

😂i used to go to school in Nanjing and went to fuzi miao with some friends. Four black women all together. We had a group of middle aged men wanting to take pictures with us and videotape us. Then a homeless man started following us around mumbling to himself. It was all very creepy but very a part of the experience. I have very good memories of Nanjing and miss it a lot.😊
