Can you indicate in the trust that the trust protector has the duty to monitor the trustee?
Perhaps. If the Trust Protector is required to actively monitor the trustee, expect such a person to be appropriately compensated for the time involved and/or weight of responsibility.
Great information on TRUSTS. What's be irrevocable or revocable, thank you.
Thank you! To explain a little further, please watch the beginning of this video on How a Trust Works: ua-cam.com/video/FNX5eLfLtSc/v-deo.html. It covers the difference between irrevocable and revocable trusts in the first 5 minutes.
Thank you for replying.
If nobody is dead, is the Trustee one of the parties, or are the Grantor and Beneficiaries the only parties concerned, in modifying a Trust?❤ Thank you for this video. It's my intro, to Trusts.
Here's a 30-minute video on the Roles of People named in a Trust: ua-cam.com/video/Y3Lv3mRRhaQ/v-deo.html. Typically, if everyone named in a Revocable Living Trust is still alive and have capacity, the Grantors (Trust creators) can modify the Trust.
Typically, the Trust Protector is only needed when the trust become irrevocable. A living trust usually becomes irrevocable at death.
@@CunninghamLegal Thank you so much.
May I please ask - is there a requirement for trust protector to be a Cayman resident? Thank you.
That is not a requirement to be a Trust Protector, but you will need a U.S. Trustee if you have a US Trust and you are not a United States citizen residing in the United States or a U.S. permanent resident.
@@CunninghamLegal thank you!
Jim-can you send me the slides to your Trust Protector video please. Thank you.
I’m late watching this, who is the best person to be the pruster
Do you mean Trustee? If so, it should be an honest person, smart person, over the age of 18 and who is a resident of the United States.
I need a lawyer badly do you know anyone that will help me. In pierce county Washington. With a probate litigation case?
We have a few contacts in the Washington area. Please email us at team@cunninghamlegal.com and we can send you a list.
Please next time hire a NICER approved Legalese Administrator to prevent the Trust Billable Litigation Hours costing our family 50% in Probate Court.
What if the trust protector tricked the trustee into signing him as the protector, whereby the protector stole all of the young trustees inheritance.
Typically, the trustee does not appoint the trust protector, the person who sets up the trust does that. If you feel you have been the victim of embezzlement (what you are describing) you should contact an attorney immediately.
Our greedy trustee changed the document and stole our parents estate so we’re getting Forgery Proof Legalese Administration Lawyers to protect us when we’re vulnerable and defend our Grantees Legacies.
@@CunninghamLegalhow about hire NICER approved lawyers when they arrive to prevent it with the Latin Law Arbiter Interdiction Trust instead?
