I enjoyed learning about a new culture while reading this well researched book, highly recommend this wonderful book that is so rich in texture, deeply moving, and consummately satisfying. Thanks

This was a surprising book for me. I felt it slow to start but became very compelling very quickly. I felt she wove the cultural information into the book so well.

Lia Mahony I'm so eager to hear others opinions on this book so thank you for sharing yours. Lisa See grabbed me right away with the Akha traditions and had my attention the whole time, through highs and lows. Definitely agree, the cultural knowledge sharing was on point. 👌🏻 Glad to hear you enjoyed it as well ☺️
