I started a UA-cam channel by accident. I had filmed a local polictical debate and we didn't have the resources to share it with the people rapidly. So we posted it online and linked it to websites and such. Now my UA-cam channel is where my 48 Hour Projects live.
Nice. Thats the power of UA-cam, you can reach ppl in a pinch like you did with the political debate. I admire how you make 48 films year to year. You’re consistently working on your craft and sharing it with the world and your community. It’s also awesome that your last one was done with your whole family.
@@ScottyDunn much appreciated! I do have to credit your channel for inspiring my motivation. Seeing what you and your wife have created over the years has been a game changer.
I have been on UA-cam for a long time and I see and subscribed to many movie UA-camrs like Hats Off Entertainment, Media Pastimes, and Schaffrillas Productions and now Scotty Dunn. Your videos are great and I can't wait to see more from you.
Oh hello 👋 Dario! 😆 Thanks man I appreciate the love. It’s been very rewarding growing and learning here on YT. Thanks for being part of this community.
Definitely started my youtube path in 2006 but sadly the first channel got deleted by youtube. My first run was ok nothing compared to now since I created a brand new channel in 2015 with the same name as now. I just finished up at the art school I graduated from and had no contacts in the industry because alot of my teachers were liars so I said screw them and decide to go viral on my own so I created 3d animated battle called ted vs chucky. That video definitely blew up my channel. Been making content ever since. It's something I really proud of. 😊 well anyway, love your content Scott. Keep them coming. Maybe one day we could collaborate on a future animation. I would be honored.
Dude 2.4 Million views on the Ted Vs Chucky video is huge! I think it’s awesome that you decided to bet on yourself and put your content up and that it’s doing so good. Well deserved! And yeah it would be awesome to collaborate on a future animation 😎
Scotty! Never comment on UA-cam videos but just wanted to say Greetings from the UK and thought I'd make an exception here 🙈 I watch a lot of these video essay type videos on UA-cam about history, pop culture, movies etc. I have to say that your series on movies like Back to the Future, Austin Powers and Speed are some of the best I've ever come across. With that in mind, I would love it if you did more, I don't see why you couldn't cut to yourself in the studio etc so you can be on screen for parts of it. Your personality, humour and own opinion on the work definitely shone through and it's definitely got serious legs in it
Thank you so much. I appreciate you commenting! Also, I didn’t mean to imply that I wasn’t making any more videos like that. I love making that type of video and have many more planned. Love hearing that it’s being enjoyed 😎
@ScottyDunn no worries, it kind of blows my mind when you've got videos of that quality on here - you should have the subscribers to reflect that. I look forward to the future ones 😊
Hey thank you I appreciate that. It’s a road I never would’ve predicted when I started out acting all those years ago. It’s been cool seeing the road shift for a lot of creative ppl. It’s exciting!
Yoooooo. I've been on here 10 years now and Consistency indeed is key. I started by showing my dvd collection then it shifted into showing my professional claw machine skills (that's what my audience wants most). UA-cam has had its ups and downs but it has been therapeutic in its right & I feel blessed to made it where I am making a buck or 2 a day for practically doing nothing. I hope to become more active here again soon. Keep up the awesome stuff. I'm watching
Love hearing about your journey! Also, I’m going to check out your claw machine skills. I’m a sucker for dvd collection videos. Proud of you for keeping at this! This is the best platform in the world.
Hey Scotty, I've been following you since probably 2018 or 2019. It was after you made Mandao of the Dead and right as you were working on Mandao Returns. There was always a charm with your films, skits and videos that I enjoy watching. Plus it has been great to connect with you as more of a friend outside of that. I'm sure you hear this often but you have a glow about you when being on camera that is entertaining, informative and always interesting to watch. Will continue to support and watch your content. Regardless of what it may be. Keep up the good work Scotty!
Thank you for the kind words! It’s been fun being on this journey together. I've appreciated your friendship and support all these years. It means a lot to me 😄
Love videos like this! I plan on making an extensive one myself once I hit 10 years on the platform (2026!). I found you through your Bimmy Rolfe video and stuck around for videos like the Eric Stoltz story and some of your personal vlogs. The feeling of community on a small channel like yours is what I genuinely still love about UA-cam. Glad you're here. Glad we are all still here, actually. Small channels unite!
2026 is coming up relatively quick! I’ll be sure to tune in for that. I love videos like that too. I’m glad you’re here too and community is one of the best parts of UA-cam. Thanks for telling me how you found my channel. I’m always interested to hear how ppl stumble onto this ancient channel 😆 keep on going my friend. We’re in this together!
Thanks for sharing all this! I definitely don't think you were "stupid" for focusing on Hollywood when you did. It's cool! It's a dream! It's a thing that inspired you to create in the first place and youtube was a thing where you didn't know what it was. So it makes sense. I chose a career in making games and when I'm working it can be really hard to also focus on my side projects. Glad to have discovered your work. You're a real pro!
I appreciate the kind words! I'm glad you found the channel too. I never would've predicted how things would turn out on this journey. I guess that's what makes life fun 😆 I know you understand since you have a channel and are a fellow content creator. Thanks man!
3:26 u know what? I’m glad you didn’t stop cuz I would have never discovered your channel, got to thank Algorithm for that 😅. Also years go by I subscribed to more cool channels but the only downside is so much censorship , comments removed etc. I’m glad you are doing your own thing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😌
I appreciate you 🙏 I’m glad I stuck with it too! It’s given me a place to focus my creativity and I’m having more fun with it than ever. Plus UA-cam is my favorite place to watch stuff anyway.

I love Hats off Entertainment too. Thank you for subscribing! It’s been a very fulfilling ride on here and I can’t wait to make more videos.
Wow I really admire your persistence and drive, not to mention how you found your audience and niche!
Thank you! It’s been a long road but definitely worth it.
Ohhh hello!
Loved the behind the scenes/decision making, you rock man
