I remember this being on my moms ipad on her itunes around 2011. Being 10 years old and listening to it on repeat until I went to sleep at the back of her car while my mom and then step dad were arguing about something. I thought of the atmosphere of this song, one that I haven't heard in almost a decade. And as I listen to it, it's brings back distant memories. My mom gave me the only room in the one bedroom apartment after they divorced while she slept on the couch. Waking me up for the Taks test while she cooked french toast for me (per my request.) And finally, meeting my new step brother who would soon become my best friend. edit: I'm nineteen now.
when i first heard this on Spotify, i didn't think much of it and threw it on some random playlist. upon hearing it several more times, though, i realized what a masterpiece i had found. i realized it had a deeper meaning to it. i don't know if this is what the songwriter was thinking but this is how i interpreted the song: those loud, harsh, crashing sounds with no apparent pattern represent the hardships in life. they are thrown at random and disrupt the peace of life. The fast-paced notes (piano) represent time; it will continue to move forward no matter the obstacles you're hitting. throughout the entire song, the piano is always playing those same notes over and over. it doesn't stop, even at 2:40. it grows faint, but emerges again at 3:32 as if nothing had happened. time is mercilessly pushing forward.the voices you hear at 1:31 are distant memories of your childhood. as you grow older, you are weighed down with responsibilities, problems, worries. in the midst of your stressful adult life, you are reminiscing the past, wishing you could just go back to when you were a kid. where you were free and life was just a game and you didn't have a care in the world what was gonna happen tomorrow.however, these children's voices fade away seconds later and you are brought back to the reality you're trapped in.now, in life, you wish you had no problems. you wish you could just melt them all away and never hit any obstacles again. but what you don't realize is that they're the best and worst part of life. life has its ups and downs- that's what makes it a fun ride. you need the pain to feel the pleasure. just imagine this song, chromatic bird, but without those harsh sounding noises... boring huh? you need to balance your life out with all the different emotions.don't try to run away from your problems. find solutions. once you push through life's obstacles, you will emerge stronger than you were before. The instrument that begins playing at 2:03 is the voice of someone confidently facing their problems head on. in the end, they succeed. their voice conquers over the crashing loud noises (the problems) in the end of the song. overall, love this song. if there's an annoying song stuck in my head, this song helps to kick it out. after reading some night prayers before bed, i soemtimes listen to this

Remember listening to this 8-10 years ago. Now it pops up in my recommendations. Nostalgia hits hard.

What does it say at 1:03? Is it a sample from somewhere? I need to know :o
Just curious, is this supposed to be an interpretation of Samskeyti by Sigur Rós? The progression is uncannily similar. Pretty cool anyways.
I love your music, but it's too good to be just 2 LP :(
