Kiaora Papa Mau Pialug. We can never express in words the appreciation for reviving the ancient knowledge of open sea voyage. 2023 The passion, the desire the momentum is alive throughout Te Moananui a Kiwa to sail the ocean in the way of the ancestors. The insights within is vast. It is about life, the universe and our part in it.
Humble great Papa Mau Pialug, when we see the many waka sailing these voyages now we always see you and you see us.
E te Ika Tohora, e rere e rere te wai o te oranga ake (Great navigator, sail, sail the waters of everlasting life).

The translations are not even accurate.
I wish there was no voice over so we can hear better.
Maybe before posting, you could ask someone to check your translations. This is how history gets skewed. Misinterpretations and inaccurate translations.

It was important to him that people actually understand his message, not just know what Satawalese sounds like. Besides, there are plenty of other videos where you can hear him speak without interruption.
