It's not fair that there's no 120hrtz option in Note20ulta exynos, it's bad enough that we get the inferior chip but to take out the higher display rate even though its enabled on snapdragon version isn't fair😡
@@A4969Z the Exynos version does have 120hz @ FHD+. The same as the Snapdragon version. The features is exactly the same between the two. The difference is in performance (heat, throttle, battery life, graphics performance and general experience).

Someone who took apart the S20 Ultra found the creaky noise was because of the telescope thing for the zoom camera. It essentially moves left and right to zoom in and out optically

The rattling is the camera sensor. It will make that noise when not in use but then you turn the camera on there is no noise. You should know that being a tech reviewer surely? Note 10 Plus 5G does the same thing.

I'd say that this is more of "hey look at me. I've got money" kinda puts you in a social hierarchy.🤷♂️ yes, luxury does mean better but more of a premium. You can buy a regular watch or you can buy a 3K Rolex watch that does the same thing. It's just your paying for name brand and luxury that comes with it.
Best note intro I've seen. Rumors are it won't do QHD@120hz because the exonus chip can't do it, so they block it for everybody. I'll be switching from my s20+ as soon as OnePlus gives me a discount
Totally agree!! This is just a big time scam from Samsung as always! Been a loyal Samsung customer for many years. I have now come to realize that I have been hastled by Samsung big time! I mean look at the technology on Huawei phones or even oneplus! Camera, speed, etc... Samsung are faaar behind and they still charge more money than the others... really, the only thing Samsung have is a nice screen and the One UI and that is it!
It would be a good phone, in the Snapdragon region. With the 865 plus it is 10 percent quicker than the straight 865. However I live in the UK and would get the overheating Exynos 990. That means our American buddies will get a SOC that's around 30 percent better than what us Englanders get. Now call me old fashioned but if we are to pay top dollar and 1200 quid is top dollar, we should be getting top phone.I feel us guys in the Exynos zone should get at least 20 percent discount, or the same Snapdragon 865.plus A One Plus 8 pro for over 300 quid cheaper looks much more attractive to me. As for the plastic vanilla Note 20 with 3 times hybrid not optical zoom don't get me started
Wait until you try 990. There's something called improvement, exynos used to be better than snapdragon until 5G modem messed it up in the last version. They may have fixed it

I have the 7t pro and waiting for OnePlus to release 8t pro or whatever is next. Can pick 7 pro up for less than 400 in cex In top condition. The charging is amazing, speed is amazing, camera is brilliant, far better than my S10 plus, I know that's dated but was my last phone. It's a better phone full stop. Battery lasts ages too. I'd recommend the OnePlus phones. They are very underrated.

Pre-ordered mine yesterday with the free Galaxy Buds Live. Checked out so many reviews of different phones, (lots of Tech Spurt) nearly went for Realme X50 being price conscious but then decided not to because I love camera quality which if feel is important to me. My last Samsung was the S3, then had Sony's and HTC's, then went onto Huawei for a few years, currently got P20 Pro which had done me proud. Hoping that the Exynos won't be too much of a big deal as in real life I'm sure it will be quick enough for me for what I want out of it. I don't do mobile gaming but I will use for office work, video, photography and playing music...and of course calls and messaging. In these times Samsung seem to be the only ones who offer 0% finance options over 36 months, great way of getting the sales if you have good credit scores and can offered the monthly repayments (£32.75 p/m plus a £10 EE pay as you go sim with data boosts) it's the only way for me to afford a flagship as I didn't want to go back into a rip-off contract, plus I'm not bothered about 5G yet as it's not widely available. Admittedly £1179 for a telephone is absolutely shit house stupid! But the fact is flagships will always creep up in price as times go by as have the likes of Xiaomi, BBK Electronics, Sony and Huawei (Mi 10 Ultra, Find X2 Pro, Xperia 1 II, P40 Pro Plus). Hoping this phone will really do me well for at least 3 years, yes would've loved a Snapdragon 856+ but I think f*ck it just do my photos, music and office work to my expectations then I won't throw you in the canal.

Fun fact: The only reason the Note 20 Ultra can't do WQHD+ @120Hz is because the Exynos variant doesn't have the necessary bandwidth. In other words, the Snapdragon variants are fully capable of and actually support WQHD+ @120Hz but Samsung has decided to keep the feature disabled for all variants in order to avoid pissing off customers in Exynos regions any further.
My redmi note 9 does everything this phone can do 0.5 secs slower and I'm more than fine with it. I also have installed gcam and the pictures are great. I stopped buying flagships and I don't regret it.
Would you be able to use the 3d scanner on this just like the s20, note 10 and such? Upgrading from a note 8 which has some weird issues with the gps so definitely want to make sure it has everything to last at least 3 years
The shaking sound is the optical image stabilization.. you get it phones that have that part which focuses manually such as s10 s20 and the latest iphones Don't shake your phone guys
This is basically final retail, only difference occasionally is that the software may not be absolutely final (an update sometimes comes through a day or two after the unboxing). And yeah, they go back to Samsung once the loan period is up.

Hi. I'm a big fan of your reviews. Reliable content as always. I've got a question though. Does the Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 5g (snapdragon 865+) mystic bronze colour come in a 512gb variant??
1. You don't need to pay 1.45€ or whatever for one hour of usage. 2. You don't need to go get your phone checked up regularly and no cop is going to stop you if you haven't got it checked. 3. You don't need to change the buttons whenever the season changes to warm or cold nor do you need to worry for the buttons to blow out. Car might be the same price as this phone BUT the car also requires more maintenance which costs shit load.
Please let us know how the Note 20 handles heavy workloads. Throttling could be a dealbreaker for me. If the Exynos 990 can perform consistently, I’ll order mine.
Australian viewer here. I would love to save up for this phone when I work next year, absolute rubbish that we get the exynos chip outside of the US considering how expensive it is for the entry model. None the less numbers and specs are one thing, but real world usage is another which will determine if the difference in hardware really matters. Great review as always and I genuinely have a soft spot for this phone considering how much it offers. However, that price tag and exynos cpu is the only thing that grabs me by the balls and gives it a tight squeeze.

That knocking noise will be the main camera with OIS. Because it is so huge (108 megapixel) it makes noise while moving about

That clicking you hear is the cameras, there is no way around it. Even my iPhone 11 Pro Max does it.

Hi thanks for your vidoes! Could you please advise, I just bought Samsung Note 20 Ultra and the camera module makes sound even from the minimum shaking. It sounds like one of the camera is moving. Is it normal or it shouldn't give any noise?
