As a proud Saints fan... I can't disagree with your take. Any team that employs Dennis freaking Allen as their head coach is doomed for mediocrity at best and atrocity at worst.
Our defense is old, our QB is mid at best, our coach is gosh-awful, AK41 has taken a visible step down, and our O-line is more leaky than a flat tire. I've been begging for a rebuild for a few years now, and the longer we kick this can down the road, the more infuriated I get with this team.
You forgot to mention with the Browns that they lost their amazing D line coach Bill Callahan to the Titans. He is a big reason that have had such a great o line these last 5 years. He is not coaching his sons teams Offensive line.

I came to accept it was best the Titans lose most games in 2014 to get a top draft pick since they had to rebuild.

Comparing Loses vs. Additions vs. realistic Draft expectations, I totally agree with your list. Dan Quinn took some pretty damn important depth players and the O-line in front of an old Zeke may be broken. I'm rooting for Minn's revamped LB corps but it's a big question mark among other question marks. Pitt's WR corps is lacking and the O-line could be a disaster.

Bo Nix fits Sean Payton. We break even from last year +/- 2. Only time will tell
I believe the Buccaneers have the potential to exceed expectations. Their non-conference schedule presents a significant challenge, as they will face several division leaders, including the 49ers, Cowboys, Ravens, Lions, Chiefs, and Eagles. They should have taken Jackson Powers Johnson at 31 and Christian Haynes at 63. Purdy will be under duress and will get hammered and play injured all year, leading to more losses. Idiotically, the Niners picked Pearsall and Guerrendo, who will uselessly warm the bench all year and its disgraceful how the niners blew their draft. SAD.

The Bills safeties got old and couldn't stay healthy,Tre White tore his acl in 2021,was a shell in 2022,was just getting back to form when the Achilles tore,this take is nuts.Losing Gabe and Steph is a bigger deal,but if you watch them go from 6-6,to 11-6 last year and how the offense ran and who it ran through you would know better.

@@TheBottomLineViewBetter coaching. Ken Dorsey was a complete disaster and was out coached time and time again. McDermott has a bit less on his shoulders with the new d coordinator. If Diggs and Gabe have a huge drop off this year I’d say your take just isn’t right. Diggs and Davis disappeared halfway through the season. The drops were such a problem. Sure it’s a loss yes this is a bit of a retooling but it’s still Josh at qb always giving them a chance. Eli manning proved everyone wrong in 07 and runs like that just happen even when everyone counts them out. Just like at the 6-6 mark everyone was counting them out of the playoffs then they switched coaches and played way better proving everyone wrong even with an insanely banged up defense.
Totally agree with most of your choices here, ESP Tampa! The Bucs didn't have any expectations last yr, but now they're on everyones radar and have WAY more expectations. I'm with you, no way they turn in another good season. 😑
I’m expecting that the Patriots are going to be worse in 2024 because it’s a rebuilding Patriots team with a New Head coach that most likely will have growing pains, the Patriots are most likely going to win 5 games or at most 6 with a Rookie QB starting that will have the common growing pains.

Yeah man I’m from Louisiana and am a Saints fan, Bengals fan too, and I hear you with the Saints. The organization is so jacked up it’s pathetic. They keep giving multi year extensions to guys who are older than 33. Like Cam Jordan and Demario Davis. One 34 the other 35. Davis is still good but Jordan can’t rush the passer anymore. They have a first round edge rusher who is a massive bust, Payton Turner, and a 1st round Left tackle who is a bust. Their financial situation is ridiculous. It’s like they still think Drew Brees is on the team and they are going all in every year! It’s absurd! They had the absolute easiest schedule in football
Last year and they went 9-8. The Bengals who lost their QB during game 9 last year and had the hardest schedule of any team since the year 2000. The Bengals played 11 playoff last year and 24 of their games were against teams that all ended the season above .500. And they still went 9-8. The Bengals finally get a break this year after having record making hard schedules the past 2 years and they have like the 20th hardest schedule this year. Burrow and the Bengals are going to wreck shit this year. Burrow is pissed he feel disrespected and the last season he played coming back from injury they went to the Super Bowl. So yea I’m psyched about the Bengals this year. The Saints need to take their medicine and just be bad for the next year maybe 2 years and get their salary cap situation under control. They have to do that otherwise they will be spinning their wheels endlessly. Their schedule is harder this year so if I’m them I fire the coach and bet an offensive minded coach, trade Kimara while you can still get something for him, Trade Lattimore while you still can. He is always hurt but is great when on the field. I would straight up cut Cam Jordan. No one is going to give you a Coke and a bag of chips for an over the hill DE who is pushing 35. I would keep Demario Davis at least 1 more year because he is still playing well. The Saints best pass rusher is a UDFA. Carl Granderson. Cam Jordan last year has k think 0.5 sacks. And I would trade Payton Turner or get a new d line coach someone who can get something out of him. In 2023 draft the Saints picked Brian Breese the pick after the Bengals picked Myles Murphy. I know the Saints wanted Murphy pretty bad. It would have solved their Payton Turner problem because Murphy is going to be dam good. He layed string 270 snaps last year and had 3 sacks and 20 tackles.
I still believe by default that Tampa Bay is the team to beat in the south if they were in the nfc east or north or even west they would easily be a 3rd or 4th place team but until I see Atlanta on the field I'm not sold yet and new Orleans didn't get better Carolina will be better but by how much?
You have to take into consideration Tampas draft picks if they hit on their picks again this year they now have a solid number 2 pass rusher in Braswell a legit 3rd WR in MacMillan a legit number 2 RB In Irving and a legit slot corner in Smith also add their under the radar free agent signings like Bryce hall from the jets who I believe will contend for the starting outside corner position opposite dean they also added randy Gregory for depth at pass rusher which I know his history but he wasn't signed here to start he will rotate I believe Tampa is a lot better off than you think 9-10 wins isn't a big stretch IMO

Ngl I understand the Steelers take and I'm a Steeler fan. They have a decent ceiling or a low floor. I'm hyped for the season. But also nervous to see this season goes.

Every year there are teams that make a jump and teams that fall off. As a Giants fan, hate to say it but Washington will make a positive jump but think eagles will fall off. The Bears will jump up as well as the Broncos. Houston will take a step back, they remind me of Giants last year
As a Bills fan you hit every one of my worry’s like to a Tee. Keon can be an excellent WR2 but without a WR1 and a tuff schedule it’ll prolly come down to week 17-18 again. Miami might have the best WR trio but we still got #17 Go Bills.

@@TheBottomLineView I could argue that the ravens defense wont take much of a step back at all. They got way better in the secondary with the editions of tj Tampa and Nate Wiggins. They drafted trenton simpson a stud linebacker from clemson in trenton simpson last year because they knew they had to replace Patrick queen. Geno stone was good but his int numbers made him look way better than what he actually is if you watched him consistently. And they can easily replace Clowney because alot of his sacks and pressures were schemed up. Now Mcdonald is a decent blow to the defense. But we cant act like the ravens havent had good defenses while losing there defensive coordinators before. I think they will be perfectly fine honestly.

Yea Ramzcheck I would be surprised if he doesn’t retire. If he plays this year guaranteed not to be there the whole year. James Hurst a guy who has played pretty good at LT for the Saints retired a couple of weeks ago. Andrus Peat their longtime LG who played LT for them last year is history too. Left in free agency. They do have a dam good center though Eric McCoy. Their RG is descent. He was a 1st round pick out of Michigan who got an extension. And they have Fuaga who they just drafted. If Ramzcheck doesn’t come back I would put him at RT and you got Trevor Prnning the bust.

Well they lost Kirk cousins so they might be worse but who knows JJ McCarthy might do good.
Think what you want about Bo Nix, but Russell Wilson's stats were so misleading last year, the dude stunk 90% of the time with some splash plays mixed in and took way too many sacks. I don't think it will be much of a drop-off in terms of actually how Nix can help them win games. I still don't think Broncos will be any good, just disagree on that point.
I disagree with you on the Bills. Mentioning that their secondary is what it was in their prime is a weird take...Poyer, Micah, and Tre were all hurt alot and we still had a great defense. Also in the playoffs lets be real, they've struggled against the Chiefs but still had a chance in 2 out of 3 games. You have to outscore the Chiefs. The offense let them down against the Bengals. Also did you say Gilmore was Dallas's best cornerback last year lmao?

Also on the bills i think they def can be as good but not any better. They just dont have the firepower or the elite defense. I understand your points but their defense cant carry them through a grind of playoffs. I just cant see them beating houston, cinci, kc, bal, top afc teams. They all can outscore buf unless they just get an epic josh allen performance which isnt repeatable

Gilmore was Dallas's most consistent corner, he wasn't the best. Hard to say that when Bland was Pro Bowl/1st team All Pro/NFL record setter.

The Saints won 9 games last year and they had the easiest schedule in the league. Two starters are gone form their o line. Hurst retired and Peat left in free agency. And Ramzcheck is on his last leg. If he plays again this year it will be his last year and he will not play a whole season. Kamara is like 29. In predicting the Saints win 8 games tops. Their range for me is 6-8 wins. I see no way they could possibly win 10 games. Out of the question.
The two “starters” that we lost were rotational players that werent good ij the first place. We also were doing fone on the right side without ram. Now drafting Taliese a powerful young tackle with fresh legs, high iq, and quick feet wilp probably be a huge upgrade for us this upcoming season especially in the run game. Trevor penning also has a full off season to practice now and better prepare for the speed of the game in the nfl. We also have a better oc in klint kubiak and finally we added good additions to our defense like chace young and willie gay if anything we can definetly get better not worst. You dont watch the saints

@@TheBottomLineView i think we forget how old the Bills were. They were missing 3/4ths of their defense. They endured an OC change mid season. Won out the rest of their games pretty much to win the AFC East and almost beat the chiefs with a completely depleted roster and a LB they signed a week prior. Bills are stacked at WR RB TE Oline was one of the best in the league and imo got better with the changes. Defense is still one of the best in football. Probably the best LB tandem in the league with Milano(who dodnt play the engire season from injury) and Bernard. Safties got younger. Taylor Rapp and Edwards to take over the center fielder role and Cole Bishop rookie box safety. Dline is still tough. Jones, Oliver, Rousseau, Epenesa, Solomon(rookie thats going to reck the league) Carter (rookie). RB Ray Davis is a STUD. Dude is going places. I get it we lost Diggs....Keon Coleman is going to light up the league. Shakir and Curtis are going to go off Diggs was a 160 targets to spread around. Defenses are going to get torched. Just wait. Full offseason of installing Bradys offense. Bills will be a dominant force. Annnnnd lets not forget the Bills broke the Eagles back Eagles eeked out a biased win and lost out. GO BILLS!

2. They were 10-7 last year and 5-1 in a tough division. That 5-1 could easily switch to 1-5. Add in a couple of more losses out of division, you have a 4 win team.
3. One of the toughest strength of schedules
4. Lame duck head coach. If it goes bad early, watch the glorious media circus bring the Steelers down
5. They are out of magic tokens that allow them to magically pu ll a 500 record out of their butts .
