All of Northern Europe and the UK have a Pagan history, and every mountain, valley, river, and field was significant to our Pagan ancestors. There wasn't the disconnect between nature and humanity that we have now. I am quite sure that long before a castle stood on top of Rock Castle there were people who stood there and called out to the Gods. In fact...for them to hold THAT particular place in such high regard, there must have been something significant that happened there in in prehistorical times. That event may have been forgotten...but the energy is still there for sure. Great video Jacob!
Its always hard when things become touristy to feel energies, but the areas around Edinburgh that you can find tucked away certainly have a great magic to them!
Good on you brother! History is one of the great undertakings for anybody who is interested in expanding their own knowledge of their own past! Thank you for undertaking this journey and sharing with us!
I’ve been called to Scotland really intensely by my guys my saw and then your video came up today and you’re in Scotland star that was a another synchronicity… hail to the gods, hail Odin.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and leading this incredibly interesting conversation! I just discovered your channel tonight and I am thrilled!!! My little sister received her masters degree in Scottish history at Edinburgh University there in Scotland and she said the people were lovely, the archives amazing and she absolutely loved it there. I think it’s wonderful that you included such a prominent fixture in this video. Who cares if there’s no pagan connection? Its beautiful to see ☺️ You also have a great way of story telling and history telling that makes watching very enjoyable ☺️ Also, side note, my FoNT hoodie is so warm and well made…totally buying another, lol 😊
@@TheWisdomOfOdin absolutely cannot wait!! This new adventure is amazing!! I hope everyone appreciates the dedication and skill it takes to make such incredible videos ☺️

You should visits the Borders region sometime where Merlin spent his remaining days and full of history regarding Merlin I think the Rock Castle mentioned may be Dumbarton rock I would like to recommend a couple of UA-cam channels for your research Scotland History Tours And Mark Nicol for many Borders tales
Random question about Norse/Germanic gods but; How do the Vanir gods remain immortal if the Aesir gods are the only ones who get to eat Idunn’s magical apples? Or do the Vanir also eat them?
I don’t believe it’s specifically mentioned in the eddas, but after the aesir/vanir war I believe it’s assumed that the vanir live in Asgard as well. As Freyja has her hall, and Njord has his as well. Freyr May live in Alfheim but is there in Asgard for many stories
I have a question. What are the similarities between the Celtic Pagans and the Norse Pagans? Can you also talk about the Norse and Celtic pagans in general? Thank You, Thank You, Thank You in advance 🤓👍
@The Wisdom Of Odin i live in wales wish I knew iv been a pagan for 5 years and never give a offering to the gods in a group hope its OK if I ask you again in couple months thanks
technically if there was a castle or some form of fortification there thousands of years ago the people in it would have been pagan, although the site might not be religious. paganism is about ancestry so you could say any ancient site in europe is pagan :)

I used to be a Stewart at Edinburgh Castle circa 2017. Even you've taught me a thing or two about the ancient history 🥰 Thank you! Enjoy the city!!
The age of the poor Douglas brothers (James II being only a boy-king himself!) Makes the Black Dinner that much more brutal.. 😅
I'm really enjoying the direction you're taking the channel with exploring the history behind some of the places you're visiting!
Mans just living his best life, follow your dreams brother

The ritual locations of Arthurs seat are less than a mile away. So the area was certainly fairly active with pagan people for much of its history 🙌
