Nice Iceland stamps, the 2023 set is quite nice as the photos been taken from above.

Hi, yeah they were made with drones. It is good that Iceland at least issues a set to celebrate their 150th 'stamp anniversary' :-)

Lovely Iceland stamps. I especially like those ship stamps and the conductor and music instruments. I heard other collectors in UA-cam videos mention that the stamps of Iceland are beautiful and they like to collect them. I actually admire how strict you are about the quality of a stamp. Maybe I should follow your lead. Decisions, decisions, decisions. 🙂Thanks for the video, Chris.

I don't like all Iceland stamps, but most of them are nice. But then again, I don't think there is one country I like fully. Now it sounds I don't like stamp collecting :-) It is nice to search, hunt and find and then fill in some gaps in your collection. You should approach your collection and stamp collection as you like Charnie. I want my stamps in good condition. But I am going too far with it at times. Thanks for watching!

I am not always sure what I like and what decisions to make. 🤭I love pristine quality stamps, but then I find it hard to throw away any stamp, especially if I don't have it, or do not know if I have it. Maybe I will go the way of placeholders, but it makes one's collection "less attractive". ... I don't think one will like all stamps from one country equally. Enjoy your weekend!@@chrislovesstamps

These are beautiful Icelandic stamps! I loved the cross-section of the building you showed really early on. I am really interested in archaeology and it looked like a subterranean building, perhaps prehistoric - I must look it up. My Swedish stockbook from ebay arrived today. I am soooo pleased with it! It's the start of my Sweden collection, and the seller (a stamp dealer) wrote that the original owner made the collection by stripping out the best stamps from collections he bought over decades of collecting. They are meticulously ordered chronologically (1920s to 1984), and I feel like every stamp was selected for being special, and I just have to figure out what makes each one special. I am going to be able to learn so much about philately from this collection. There are some inverted watermarks, some fantastic postmarks, some single stamps which must be hard to find, and two obvious colour errors which are the first colour errors I own. It will take me lot of hours researching it, but I will let you know if I identify any gems. :)

Hi Chris - these are really interesting !! Thank-you for this !!! It is interesting about Iceland ceasing the printing of stamps in 2020 until existing stocks run low :)

Hi, yep it is interesting. Part of me wished they did less print runs of what they have in stock now, so there was a need to issue stamps.
