Your videos always impress me whether cars, chicken or wood. Great job.
i wish he combined all his crafts together by building a wooden chicken shaped car
He should combine cars, chicken and wood in one video.... that must be legendary.
Chimken, you spelled chimken wrong.
Why is this the most underdunn comment.
The wood chicken coupe.
I love the ridiculous joinery, and the OSB once finished turned out a LOT better than I was expecting.
Nice work! Love the drawer box joinery, that's awesome.
no unnecessary walnut though.. xD
I never thought I'd miss my factory worker days, I spent them programming massive Biesse, Homag and Anderson CNC routers to make bedroom and kitchen furniture. This video actually gave me the nostalgias. Then I remembered my bosses and it went away.
Depending on how good you were at your job, you could absolutely be self-employed and do the same thing
@@the_undead you completely misunderstood my comment, but that's okay
@@nex69696 The way I interpret your comment is you didn't mind working with CNC machines but you quit that job long ago because of your boss
The joinery design is kind of the carpentry equivalent of those extravagantly swoopy pschedelic fonts from the '60s. Or, if you'd rather use a more hifalutin comparison, Art Nouveau flourishes. :)
It definitely have some Art Nouveau aesthetic to it!
Oh, now there's an idea, use a font to put your name (or any other words) as the joints.
"I didn't want to do it, much less record it."
What a mood.
Holy shit those sparks are no joke
Glad I’m not the only one that noticed that!
Once again, like a kid (older kid) with a brand-new 3D printer going to town on whatever models they can find. In this case, a 3D puzzle. Great useful project for experience with better than expected results. The edits are great as always.
6:37 You took the youtuber finger snapping cliché to the next level and made it cool again! Awesome!
Unrelated: I love your editing in general, but your rhythmical editing in special. It's like listening to experimental noise music or something :^)
His editing skills and what he talks about is why I love his channels. I love his goofy style, reminds me...of me in a way lol My wife has 0 interest in what he does, but she'll sit and watch his videos with me because the way he edits and the way he is in general.
@@Straycatstrat10 I love his goofy style as well!
Ever watch his videos with UA-cam's auto-generated captioning on? Even the AI often interprets his montage noises as music.
@@hollt693 No, but now I'm going to :)
3:06 As long as that static discharge is on the outside of the flexibel hose, then there is no problem,
but if this occurs on the inside, the chance for getting a dust explosion is very high.
Even outside it's a problem, dust nearby where it discharges can start a fire.
The solution to this problem is however super simple, just attach a grounding wire to the metal spring inside the flexible hose, so any static buildup can discharge here.
@@Gin-toki you are right.
Editing and humor just earned my sub. CNC router project was an added bonus.
I love the "curvy and wacky"ness of it, it reminds me of the kind of furniture you'd see in a live action children's TV show 90's. No specific one just the feeling I get.
I stumbled across your channel last week thanks to a UA-cam suggestion, then found Aging Wheels, and have been devouring your videos ever since.
I really enjoy your production style (those slammin’ cut edits during what Edd China would have us all laboriously sit through), your sensor of humor, and your chickens. Yeah….
You have motivated me to get back to work on my project car and get it back on the road again.
No, I won’t ask about the bus.
Thanks for the great content!
Love that you avoided straight lines. I feel like this is the first time I have ever seen someone do that for poops and giggles. Love it.
wow, this has super retro vibes of the original MakerBot which could make itself, more or less, bringing us one step closer to the nanobot grey goo future of Master Global Reset Button that we so richly deserve to suffer through. 🤪
(also, the end result is effing beautiful and it was marvelous watching you make this. nice job!)
"Machines making machines? How perverse."
Deviant Ollam commenting on a CNC router table construction video... what is this, a crossover episode? There's not even any elevators or easily-defeated exterior doors in this build!
Wow. The nexus of two of my favorite channels
@@DeviantOllam Tbh, at this point - that future is the best timeline
@6:37, that right there is why this is one of my favorite youtube channels. The perfect blend of silly and productive.
I loved this table build and want to try it. All I need is a wood shop, CNC Router, Table saw, Table sander, Compressors & Misc wood working tool and most of all wood working skills.
I'm getting the same feeling, here as well as, say, the projects of DIY Perks, for example 😁. And I have the same basic problems, here as there: Materials - hundreds to thousands of bucks. Tools - probably a few ten thousands more. A place to put said tools into, plus the capabilities to then use the whole shebang effectively - priceless 🤪...
So, long story short: cool stuff, but - nope, I think I'll have to pass 🙂...
I love the OSB "accents" on this. Definitely something I am going to have to try in a couple of upcoming projects.
Look into Fusion’s parametric modeling feature. You can design ahead of time, then when you get your plywood you can measure the thickness, change that parameter in Fusion, and voila, everything adjusts.
Dope! I can't wait to have a shop that's bigger than my thumbnail so that I can fit a CNC in there. A+ percussive editing.
I love how the table is an example of what the machine is capable of!
@5:56 - i happened to be watching this on my laptop at full screen while resting my head on a book... and had a gaze right back at me all of a sudden.... i actually got a little wide-eyed and backed away a bit....
Great video and once I get my woodshop up and running, I may just have to try out a CNC as well!
Your "little" project is like something I wish I could do in a year.
I love those...I'm calling them drunken dovetails on the drawers. Awesome idea.
Love the hilariously overcomplicated joints, because why not! Superb editing and content as always
I never thought about planing OSB. Love the look. It reminds me of hemp wood...
You converted me! I'm going to use it as an accent for all my upcoming shop projects. Thanks so much!
I love your ingenuity paired with your self deprecating sense of humor.
I've seen some really good looking OSB projects before, but this REALLY came together when you got those drawer faces put on.
Even if your content was boring, I'd stay just for the amazing editing skills. Love them.
Excellent work, I'm not sure how I haven't seen your videos before now! You had me at, "but this is a CNC project... So I'm still going to cut them on the table saw"
That planed down osb looks really cool I showed my father who had a construction company for 40 years he also really liked the look.
i don't think i'll ever have a CNC router setup, but that is a seriously creative and fun looking project!
The OSB looks far better then expected. Nice job.
FINALLY! A demo of a free machine worth watching. I need this system if only to make sexy drawer joinery. Very nice design of the table as well.
Okay, I want to start off by saying I genuinely enjoy the woodworking content you make. Top notch stuff. But dude. You are freaking hilarious. Your timing and lines are great! You need a TV show!
A robot may have cut the joinery, but Robert told the robot how to do it.
Also damn, that's really pretty, especially with the drawer fronts installed.
That is marvelous. Really appreciate the "this is a computer controlled tool, I have no limits on my shapes"
Every detail of this thing is incredible. The overall design, the functionality, the planed OSB, the awesome drawer box joinery, the look of the drawer faces... Everything about this project rocks!
Matt Estlea Loves OSB! He's made several 'fine woodworking' projects with OSB!
Awwwwww, man, I've been looking at Stepcraft machines. So nice.
I was trying to think of a tongue in cheek name for how Robert builds stuff, meaning a bunch of error that don't affect the final product. How about Dunn Right Furniture™️
Get 'er Dunn furniture
Dunn Rite Furnichur
Dunn and Done Furniture
Furniture? Dunn Did It
Marketing slogan:
"It's not done right, but at least it is Dunn Rite."
I enjoy the delivery, the subjects, the editing, the energy and technical stuff.
and yeah, the oriented strand board does have a certain appeal
You are by far my favorite UA-camr. I recently tore my hamstring and your videos have not only entertained me but inspired me. I have watched every video on both channels. Thank you for your videos and I anxiously await future videos.
I can't believe you said "Screw it from behind" with a straight face.
Glad your back with woodworking. Need more videos
Honestly....this was brilliant! Well done and the most entertaining CNC video I've ever seen. I don't think anyone uses it the way you did.
Are you going to be doing the wood-shop version of your tool overview video soon? I'm amused (though can relate to) the dichotomy of the extremes of both Ryobi tools and a Festool Rotex being used on a project.
Yes, this needs to happen. Having almost exclusively bought cheap stuff before, it took a lot of justification to buy that Festool Rotex. It's totally worth the price, but it sure is expensive
@@UnderDunnOfficial I'm still talking myself into picking up a Rotex 125...shouldn't be much longer, as I've been quite happy so far with the functionality of my Domino 500, and the dust collection performance of my ETS 150 and OF 1400.
Curvy and wacky is my favorite way to design things
Frank Howarth is the OG for CNC woodworking on UA-cam. He is on another level and has been doing it for a few years. He has a plastic pin nailer for work holding that seems to work well. Might be worthwhile if you are planning to use this a lot.
Diy youtubers finest editing and video cuts awards goes to - you good sir
This is the best CNC UA-cam video I have ever seen! Awesome work brother!
The editing you do on your videos really make them special. I love thr jump cuts of finishing each piece and popping it out
Normally I avoid videos featuring CNC. Mostly because I don't have one and I don't see one in my foreseeable future. However, it was your video. I had to watch. Especially with that title, LoL. That cabinet came out awesome. I'm with you on the OSB. For construction grade lumber it really has an appealing contrast and adds to the design. Loved the comment about the drawer slides. Great video and thank you for sharing.
Easily the best CNC use I've ever seen! So much more interesting than 'I can't be arsed cutting everything on standard tools so I used the CNC' videos!
probably the most underrated youtuber ever
i love both your channels equally as much and started with the car channel, hell, the wood one might be taking the lead, love the vids!
I live in an apartment, but I'm addicted to these videos. I would love to do woodworking, but in a 2 bedroom apartment it's kinda hard.
I liked the dust collection hose arcing out on the planer outfeed bed. Nice table build.
Great build. I have always liked the look of OSB. Eleven years ago my son opened a computer shop with a limited budget. At my suggestion we used OSB for the sales counter facia. After it was finished he said he liked it and so did a large number of his customers.
I have got to say that you have a great sense of humour. Anyone who has a Trabant and a Reliant Robin (nickname is a Plastic Pig) must have a sense of humour. 😄😄😄
So when you said it wasn't done yet, did you mean it was Under Dunn ?
😁BOOM!
That joinery looks really cool, feels like you can do a lot of cool things with that
Love the box joinery. Kind of sad you covered with a draw front, but it is your cabinet!
adding wheels and paint some flames on it are the only things that could make it better ;) fantastic
I LOVE the osb on the drawers, it looks beautiful i’ll have to remember that for someday in the future
Possibly the coolest tool table design I've seen in a long time
I normally switch off and unsubscribe when CNC machines get brought out. You, my friend, made it entertaining. It is of no use (computer joinery) to me personally, but I learned about OSB sanding. Who'da thunked it. It was also amusing as usual. Cheers mate!
OSB when planed and stained looks surprisingly good. Has a bit of a marble look.
This guy is like Norm Abraham with a sense of humor.
Yes! The OSB looks amazing!
I haven’t watched your other channel, so when this showed up in my notifications…it made me very happy. Love your attitude, your aptitude, your honesty and sense of humor and creativity. Bravo!
Static discharge shocks off the dust collection hose at 2:59 are impressive! A ground strap somewhere might help that.
Love the curves!
Must say your commentary makes this thoroughly enjoyable to watch. I always have UA-cam on in the background as I work and even though I'm no woodworker I thoroughly enjoy listening to it and living through you vicariously. Who knows maybe in the future I'll get into woodworking.
You could grout the gaps to make them stand out EVEN MORE and make it look intentional.
I could also add a contrasting inlay to the joint lines
I love the look of OSB shop furniture, I’ve seen them clear epoxied, which is what I want to do on mine, to seal it from the high humidity of my garage
I have stopped watching cnc project videos but all your stuff is great so I went ahead anyways. And it was very entertaining as allways! 😃
Verry cool design. I really like the material mix. Great job.
Wow Robert, just WOW! Possibly one of the most creative and aesthetically pleasing things that I've seen in a long time; and yes, I love OSB, I prototyped my GF's desk in OSB and she's so happy with it that I've still not made the "final" version.
There is 2 Things I love inside your Garage...1st the Trabant made in the Former gdr i am from...2nd the stepcraft i use in a smaller size...regards!
4:54 One of the many lessons I've learned from 3d printing: Make some test pieces to see what you like best for fitment.
I can't believe you made OSB look pretty! That's a sentence I thought I'd never say.
These transitions are freakin amazing. Great job on both the video quality and the actual project!
Great looking table. The OSB is eye-catching if nothing else. Fantastically edited as always 👍
Good to see the Wheego battery cart live a second life!
Yes, I /have/ thought of OSB for decorative purposes. :)
That joinery is great!
There was actually a house in Architectural Digest that featured sanded OSB walls in a portion of it. If I remember correctly it was in the early 2000's, I also think it looks super cool though. Nice work on the table! The joinery on the drawers is amazing looking, I love that there are no straight lines also!
Love that table! Also it's fantastic how excited you are about your mistakes, makes me feel much better 😂
The editing on this video is next level! Well dunn, man!
I really enjoy watching your videos. You've come a long way since even a year ago. Your work is constantly improving. I'm super impressed what you did with the CNC. :)
Awesome! Love the camouflage looking OSB.
It's awesome to see someone use a CNC in a unique way
Fantastic! Love all the creativity that went into this project.
The random OSB bits look like the wooden equivalent of TV static in the finished build lol
Am I the only one who has no idea what's going on but just likes the content?
Your video editing skills are fantastic. I enjoy all of the little effects you do and the rhythms when you are running screws down or nailing things together.
I will never look at OSB the same way after this video. Also I now feel like I want a CNC router table.
This was a great video. The vertical clamping bar is amazing. You’ve shown us how to do amazing joinery not only for boxes but even furniture joinery. Great video love both your channels.
Planing OSB... I'm not sure I would have ever thought of that, thanks!
So, are you still liking your crazy home made horizontal cyclone dust collector thing?
Yes! I could've made a better way to empty the dust bin, but it works flawlessly other than that
@@UnderDunnOfficial I love seeing the windex
WOW! I like this design!! Very well done!!!
OSB with some resin fill (clear or otherwise) looks surprisingly nice. I love that they included the vacuum and vertical clamping attachments. The joinery was wicked cool!
I used some of the first CNC routers ever, 30 years ago, I used Nitto brand carpet tape to hold down difficult to clamp materials, you just lever one edge up and the rest just releases after a few minutes. I once made the station frames for an America's cup yacht in this way.
