( This happens after 5 years I think) When a Chinese Player find that out he was so heart broken and posted it and apparently every Chinese player asked dev why? The reason was that a relative died from disease so she's kinda created in their memory. Despite several pleas from players there was no update regarding this so Chinese players went on a rampage of negative reviews that the Dev's decided to provide the medicine therapy quest. I personally liked the original ending it sorts of aches my heart and simultaneously simulates it she'll be always in my memory watching form heaven plus we get to have kids with her. It's kinda a wholesome experience for my soul the way I think it.
And them MTA: Sandrock came around and said "yea so treatment for that unknown disease that would only prolong Ginger's Life? Yea screw that, Dr. Fang in Sandrock knows exactly how to cure it in a mere 3 days time" Boy the fans were Really not for only pushing forward her untimely death and had it as a final reward of the game.

I gathered everything and was ready for it. It was all in the chest named "Save Ginger" at the foot of the bed. It was a heartbreaking discovery that we would never get that cure option. I later got a good enough PC and went through again to get the rightful ending.
When I played this years ago I wasn’t very sick and now I am… relate a lot more now.. got really sad watching..she has a much better attitude than me tho which is inspiring (Despite her being fictional lol)
And I love the happy ending :) I have cancer too. Every year brings new ways of treatment and you can survive. And devs adding a way to prolong her life was just as an unexpectedly annouced cancer treatment :D Especially when so many years pass in the game and the science is moving forward. So I don't think that her death is a true ending, that stupid. She was supposed to die but then a possible treatment occured - just as in real life.
There was another planned ending for ginger. Ginger dies before you marry her and the town blames you. You take as much stuff as you can and sneak through town only to be spotted by gust Higgins takes you to a cave this leads to the main road to Portia

You definitely can remarry. Also, if you just continue doing the therapy lights mission every season, she will not die. I just wanted to show what would happen if she did in this video
If you ever play Sandrock, some characters from Portia make an appearance including Ginger. I won’t spoil anything, but there is a little bit more story for the Portians in that game too
I remember her dying in my first playthough when it first came out. Either i didnt care or it doesnt give you the ability to cure her if you aren’t dating her. I made sure to marry her and save her this playthough. I pretty much did everything there is to do in this game after the rough knight battle gets kinda boring

She is able to have kids, but I didn’t want to get her pregnant since story wise, she is frail and sick and her mother died from giving birth to her too. I didn’t want to put her through a pregnancy, so I decided to just adopt a baby with her.
@@_melon_cake_ Ye I know, but at the same time Ginger is really family loving person, and base on the game she wont die even if she had kids, so I guess we can think of it like she survived having kids and become a great mother, and you a loving father that take care of the family and the mother of your child. I believe that the treatment will happen every season every year. If you miss even one season, Ginger will pass away :(
