- In this mini series we are doing Cedar Point by the water.
I stayed in the Island House in Port Clinton, so I took the ferry back and forth from Put in Bay to Port Clinton. This video shows how the Jet Express works.
There are so many islands near Cedar Point, and the islands should definitely be enjoyed by people. So in this video, we're overviewing Port Clinton and Put In Bay along with using the Jet Express.
Let me Know what you think of Port Clinton and Put-in-Bay! i'd love to hear from you!

Finally watching this video lol. The Gristmill is one of my favorite spots to play music! Was just there a couple weeks ago!
Northern Ohio has so much more than rollercoasters! What do you think of put-in-bay? Would you like to visit it?
Never been to Putin bay but it reminds me keywest!
I heard that the street lights are off to keep mayflies from swarming. I'll look for you when I go to CP in a few weeks!
Ohhhhh! That makes sense!
I’m headed there with my family this weekend. We are staying in Port Clinton and taking a jet Express to Put In Bay with our Blue Heeler.
That should be a blast!
The hotel you stayed at was so cool. We take Miller Ferry. I’ve never tried Jet Express but it seems like they go a lot faster.
I've been wanting to do this!
On cedar points website it says that on select days you can take the jet express from cedar point to Kelly's Island. Have you ever done that?
I'm a pass holder, went 25 times last year, but I live close so we never stay. We're going to try to stay at breakers with friends, shooting for a no driving after parking at the hotel type of deal.
You going to be at Cedar Point this Wednesday?
Downtown Port Clinton looked really eerie and deserted on your way back to the hotel, especially that old brick armory building. The Island House is the best (locals say it’s haunted), especially for those people headed to Put in Bay to get hammered. No driving involved, your less drunk friends can help keep you on your feet for the short walk back to the hotel from the Jet Express dock. It’s obvious you were there on a week night, there are typically a LOT more people there on Summer weekends. I lived on the Island and worked at a restaurant for a whole Summer during the early 1980s. Best Summer ever.
Yep! Definitely a week day and definitely low crowds. But I was told that thursdays are usually busier.
Oh man thanks so much for doing these videos! Staying at Cedar Point cabins for a few days and was going to do the park and beach a few days and they wanted to take Jet Express to Put in Bay or Kelly’s island one day! Info on your videos are SO helpful!!!
So glad it helps! It’s always fun!
My aunt, uncle and cousins visited their often they probably should have moved there lol I've never been there. This was interesting to see.
The only transit flaw in Sandusky is that Amtrak only stops in the middle of night. If Ohio ran a service on that corridor from Cleveland to Toledo during the day. just 2 trains that switch direction during rush hour during the park's summer season (no Haunt service). I am not sure about a deal or fare integration between Amtrak/STS/Jet Express, maybe as some package deal through third parties or something. If it has a benefit for business travel, then expand to off season weekdays. It probably won't cause a revolutionary shift in how people get to Cedar Point. Europa Park still needs a taxi 3.5 miles from the train station to the gate and theoretically a one seat ride by bus to the boats (you could walk from the bus hub at Washington/Wayne if you want, about 15mins either way).
For me, to use the Keystone from my local Amtrak station to Harrisburg, near Hersehypark, is $30 each way and I'd still need someone to pick me up (and I would still need a day ticket to Hersehypark on top of that)
I’m going today to Cp for Fourth of July last time 2 weeks ago I rode steel veangence back to back times and millenium 3 times
