Thanks Jeff , a very good video and fun to watch this CP freight running through the flooded area. I like seeing the wheels chopping the water including the ES44AC 8723 producing the ripples in the water. It's too bad this ain't a normal thing because I'm beginning to like this videos of trains in floods. I have an issue of Trains magazine from 1993 showing a few pictures of a Santa Fe freight crawling through a flooded area. Good stuff 😁👍
Cool catches and here we go again with the water just like a couple few years ago with your past videos. Enjoyed watching and have a great rest of your evening Jeff.(Steve)
You have to handle that train very carefully and slowly to avoid burning out any traction motors on the locomotives especially where the water is over the head of the rails. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Waves breaking on the tracks! I guess they are good to go as long as no water gets in the traction motors. Similar situation up and down the river this year.
WIth the amount CPKC had parked in Savanna and Sabula there should be plenty of traffic to slow roll that way once the water drops some and i Know BNSF was holding plenty up on their side of Savanna . Will be interesting to see what rolls by in 10 days or so with the Mexico Chicago link up
The wind was pretty bad, as far as the locomotives are concerned. I would think 4 to 6 has to be the max, just from splashing concerns. Thanks for watching Andrei.
WOW That's crazy great video Jeff thx for the post.😗😗😗🤞🤞🤞
Your welcome, thanks for watching.
Nice catch of those ex-WC hoppers and a Ferromex boxcar on CP 253.
I think that is the first Ferromex box car I've gotten.. Thanks for watching Hortencio.
Awesome catches! I’m sure you don’t miss the floods but the video from a few years ago was a classic! Great video.
Thanks AlphaRailfan, I like for a little bit but it gets old real fast.

And I forgot to mention the first train on dry ground was excellent as well. Good motive power and rolling stock in this video. Well done 👍
I have flood videos from 2019, Flood of 2019 playlist. Thanks for watching Mike. Plus my #1 video is summary of 2019 detours and flood trains.
Excellent work, Jeff!
Thank you Anthony.
Nice catches Jeff! That's crazy that the floods are happening again. I remember your vids from yrs ago on this
2019, that flood lasted almost three months. Thanks for watching Darryl.

Thank you Steve, almost like an annual ritual..

Yep, they don’t go over 10 mph through the water.
Nice catches Jeff
Thank you UPDetector.

Yep, keep the water out. The river is cresting today but it up for a while yet.
Thx Jeff. Notice the MD&W cars? A 4 mile long short line, if it's the same RR.
I've seen them before not sure if they are the same road. Thanks for watching Bob.
There was a Train on the Letts Siding with No Locomotives on my way to Columbus Junction on my way Home it was Gone
They do park a few until they are ready to move them.

Yep, the new stacks are supposed to start on the 11th. It will be interesting. Thanks for watching AJ.
They’re Smart using the Old dilapidated Canadian Pacific (CP) Units instead of the Newer and Shinier KCS Units. 😬👍
Thanks for watching Ken.
Nice video jeff also did you get snow today on May 1st
No, just a lot of wind and mid 50s. Thanks for watching Nancy.
That looked some pretty challenging conditions to film in. What's the maximum wading depth for a General Electric locomotive? 😒

The flood waters have returned…
Yes they have, thanks for watching Blaze06.
Those CIC cars on the rear of the train are exCMQ.
Ok, thanks.
Ill guess they will have to raise this section of track also.............
They did a little bit, not like in town though.
