Hello from New York I'm a true born Jamaican. Princess Margaret Hospital I was born I left Jamaica at the age of 9 so you doing this documentary is very informative and I appreciate it .
I was watching this with my mother and she pointed out to me that the land you're currently on belongs to my foreparents. I've never been up there, but she was excitedly telling me about the aqueduct and a family burial ground nearby. My great grandparents and grandparents used to live in the house you saw. Great find!
St. Thomas is not being hidden, I think, as much as the people are not aware of what is in the area. What you have found in your search is a precious thing Alex, and should be duly noted by the powers that be. Safe journey, and many blessings.
Yeah I blame the Governor at the time which was Edward John Eyre, a man of Australian decent who appeared to be somewhat Color Prejudice as well. He ordered the excecution of both George Gordon and Paul Bogle. I think it’s because Inthe 1880s, Jamaica was governed by mostly Europeans and not actual Jamaicans, Most of Jamaica’s history will never be known because those Europeans didn’t preserve such things.
I found this channel accidentally but I’m so glad I did. What you do is my passion. I’m always interested in our history not from the history books. Im so excited that you took time to do these searches.
