I am pretty sure how you deal with panthers is just hit the cheeks but closer to the breech, never on like that volumetric mess, especially on the right one (left from the perspective of panther). It always gets the gunner and maybe if you have enough explosive mass get all the turret crew and if you have like 180> grams you can just overpressure the crew, even the two in the hull. It has never failed me. In past I used to shoot at the volumetric mess but now I hit the cheeks close to the barrel and breech.
They can just remove volumetric shells, it doesnt work right and is ill suited for simulating how it would work irl. A tank's turret ring should'dn't be it's strongest point.
1:40 I believe this is because they made it so replacing the loader won't reset the reload anymore. On most tanks it's a good thing but with a particularly long reload it's slower.
How does it not reset the reload anymore? Maybe it doesn't reset the animation, but the 23 seconds he counted with the was the full reload of the 122mm. And that's not counting the halfway progress the animation was showing in the reload.
@@alexmaximus9134 It used to restart the reload once the loader was replaced by another crew member. I love the dichotomy of oddbawz' video uploaded at some point where all he did was complain about how the gun performs damage wise, and the intro to yours is "I dont feel like aiming today" lmao
About that panther, seems like you hit the machine gun. Sometimes they just eat the whole round, happens with the MG port of the Jumbo (and I suspect all MGs on tanks) as well.
5:08 that shot IRL would probably blow the entire right turret side plate off as well as deleting any molecules inside the turret but for Warthunder it's only a minor inconvenience.
As a T44 enjoyer, I forgot how squat it was until I saw you compared to a T-34-85 at 7:12. Its like the difference of a 6' guy vs a 5'11" guy in those memes, seriously wtf. It looks like someone asked, "Comrade, how can we improve already perfect T-34?" and some designer was like "We put in Hydrolic press da!"
Every time I aim for an opponent's hull, 90% will end up landing on and stopped at the driver's vision block even though I am not at all going specifically for it.
This is one of the best premiums at 6.3 due to all around good performance. It can front pen almost anything while retaining decent mobility of a medium tank
T34 100 by far outclasses this, and so do many others. The 44 122 is by far one of the worst imo since you pay real money for worse armor, longer reload and weaker gun than the tt variant.
@thunderousavenger2382 Actually, the gun isn't weaker - it overmatches sloped armor much better than 100mm counterpart. 122mm can front pen panther through upper plate, while 100mm often bounces. Same with jagpanther. T-44-100 also has to struggle with worse matchmaking (BR 7.0) and abysmal gun depression. IMO tanks are more or less equal in their respective BR, but I prefer gun depression and armor overmatching over the slightly faster reload time
13:58 To be fair, if you're playing a Panther and something hits the back of your turret without doing anything, it's usually not worth trying to fight it

incorrect, one piece ammunition is quicker to load than 2 piece which is what the 122 uses
Yeah except, it depends on ergonomics in the turret, Not just what type ammo it fires. But the T-44-122 was not accepted into service because it didn't carry enough ammo, AND had a Long reload.
Holy crap, I almost forgot that I even bought this tank years ago! Thanks for bringing my attention to it,Spooks.
I love the dichotomy of oddbawz' video uploaded at some point where all he did was complain about how the gun performs damage wise, and the intro to yours is "I dont feel like aiming today" lmao
you should play the Conway because i heard you like volumetric
About that panther, seems like you hit the machine gun. Sometimes they just eat the whole round, happens with the MG port of the Jumbo (and I suspect all MGs on tanks) as well.
5:08 that shot IRL would probably blow the entire right turret side plate off as well as deleting any molecules inside the turret but for Warthunder it's only a minor inconvenience.
Today with spookston: spookston loses his mind against panthers, volumetric, and CAS
"El Diablo" I love hearing spookston try to speak spanish, please keep it going
Bullets when a turret moved .05 mm the moment it hits: “uhhhh let me be clear”
As a T44 enjoyer, I forgot how squat it was until I saw you compared to a T-34-85 at 7:12. Its like the difference of a 6' guy vs a 5'11" guy in those memes, seriously wtf. It looks like someone asked, "Comrade, how can we improve already perfect T-34?" and some designer was like "We put in Hydrolic press da!"
I remember when this video was called the mini is6 back in my day... a whole 30 minutes ago lmao
Every time I aim for an opponent's hull, 90% will end up landing on and stopped at the driver's vision block even though I am not at all going specifically for it.
got to love those panther turrets. volumetric added so many bugs
IMO tanks are more or less equal in their respective BR, but I prefer gun depression and armor overmatching over the slightly faster reload time
Me: I wanna spade ISU-122 and ISU-122s while researching the rest of Rank IV.
Panther turret: I'm gonna end this man's whole career.
Friday is a great day for pain. Not me pain but watching someone in pain. Thanks spook
dang it, now I might have the urge to observe map details due to you pointing out the banks and richies
13:58
To be fair, if you're playing a Panther and something hits the back of your turret without doing anything, it's usually not worth trying to fight it
Thanks Spookston for another banger video hope you feel better now! :D
My favourite part is he plays how he feels…it’s a mood
Making exploratory shots with a 1.4 eon reload … hyper giga chad.
