    This is a fascinating and unlikely combination of classic French duet melded with dark and foreboding undertones and backed up by a weirdly lighthearted and danceable beat.

    It does sound like "sex & trouble" sung in French. I like this version as well!

      This one is the original. "Sex & Trouble" was made for the CD because the original lyrics no longer fit to the authors' vision of EEC which had now become the EU…!

    Wow! never knew this existed! sex and trouble in french, slightly slower and differently mixed tho. Wish Deux had made more songs, their unbelievably good. Gonna have to find the 7 inch of this now.

      In fact it's the opposite. Sex & Trouble was the first version we made , burnt on a vinyl master by CBS. But, it has been changed for french lyrics, by request of our manager and a CBS producer. For me Europe is a bad song and was not supposed to be reissue (especially without our consent).

    song is a kind of soft satire about europe
    c'est ce que je comprends :-)

    • @jolivierld
      @jolivierld 8 років тому +2

      +jolivierld here are some of the lyrics : international communications, uni-directional decision making, interconnected networks, criticism has been deleted, flags waving to the wind, the common action is on, free trade, trains are calmly crossing the territory... :-)

    • @party_at_the_motel
      @party_at_the_motel 5 років тому +2

      Criticism has been deleted is not the exact translation, it’s more like « disagreements are forever erased ». I know this doesn’t seem like a good translation, but it’s closer, even if the meaning is close to « criticism has been deleted » I’m french so you can trust me!

      It's hard to choose, but I would say I prefer "Sex & Trouble", maybe because I'm more used to it ^^
