I thought it was interesting how the only people that Gyutaro and Daki/Ume terrorized were in the entertainment district, the same place that turned them into demons.. kinda poetic.
The entertainment district were made by the shogunate to enforce public order (their thoughts were if you couldn’t stop prostitution than gather it all in one area so you could keep a better eye on it) and most lower rank prostitutes were sold to pay of a debt (either by themselves or family); the working conditions for the lower rank prostitutes were so bad that many Japanese historians refer to it as the dark underbelly of their history.

Yes, the voice acting by the entire cast of Demon Slayer has been top notch, and especially by Miyuki Sawashiro (Daki/Ume), Ryota Osaka (Gyutaro), and Nao Toyama (Suma) this episode. The range for both our demons was amazing as usual, and Suma’s portrayal was comedy gold. The “Hah?” when Tengen exclaimed the poison was gone had me rolling. ^O^ Gyutaro and Ume’s backstory was tragic as hell. The name Daki 堕姫 is indeed a terrible name as Gyutaro mentioned; the kanji for it means something like “fallen princess,” but it can also be a pun for “have sex” (the word can mean “hug” or “have sex” and is used in compounds like “daki makura” (body pillow)). Her original name was terrible too. Ordinarily, “Ume” is a cute name, as it means plum 梅, but Gyutaro said she was named after the disease that eventually killed their mother: syphilis 梅毒 (baidoku), as the patterns it leaves on the skin can look like plum blossoms. And this week’s title wasn’t faithfully translated again (I feel like they are doing this on purpose to try to fool the viewers into false expectations). The original title is “Nando Umarekawattemo” 「何度生まれ変わっても」and it should have been translated more like, “No matter how many times we are reborn,” referring to what Gyutaro and Ume said in their afterlife meeting. Gyutaro said no matter how many times he was reborn, he’d choose to be a demon, whereas Ume said no matter how many times she was reborn she’d always be his little sister. So sad and touching. Speaking of bad translations, the Serpent Hashira didn’t say “someone as uninspiring as you,” to Tengen. He said, “omae teido” お前程度, which means “someone at your level,” as he was saying that the developing demon hunters weren’t so great, and that even someone at Tengen’s level (with only one eye and one arm) was better than the rest. I understand translators are trying to localize some of the dialog, but words like “uninspiring” leaves an additional nuance as it is insulting to our flashy Hashira, and it makes viewers dislike the Serpent Hashira even more (I forget his name, lol). Even after that, the way they translated Tengen’s words made many other reactors believe that he was saying Tanjiro could be promoted to Hashira, when he was really saying that he was developing well and was better than the Serpent Hashira believed. And Nezuko really was MVP. Not only was she so adorable, but her Blood Demon Art was OP. As its basic nature is to be harmful to demons but safe for humans, it was perfect for both neutralizing Gyutaro’s spinning blood scythes and burning away the demon poison safely from everyone. It was a stretch to say Tengen could stop his heart and Inosuke to be able to move his internal organs, but her Blood Demon Art makes sense in the way they were used. Realistically, you need to have a specific antidote for each poison or venom; there is no all in one antidote; however, being able to burn away a demon’s poison sounds like a plausible way to get rid of it. And finally, though there was no “Nin-nin” segment, on Japanese TV, right after the episode, they had the Season Three announcement. They didn’t get into specifics, as more info will be announced in April. I’m gonna miss this show… it was fantastic while it lasted.
Yeah Daki was sooo good at being a savage with her head cocked to the side, then she's amazing as a whining sister. And Gyutaro was AMAZING and this channel made me appreciate his acting even more.
@@addidaswguy Yeah, I like when she said the “babaa” line to the Madam in that head-cocking scene and when she told Zenko that she was so ugly that she was better off dead “shinda hou ga ii janai?” 「死んだ方がいいじゃない」… she was so scary and intimidating. I also like the surprised grunts she was making when evolved Nezuko was literally curb stomping her. And she really did sound like a dependent younger sister by the end. Such masterful performances by all the voice actors. ^_^

Yeah this Battle really shows that every chance they got is a One in a Million opportunity because the story made it clear that They will Never win against Upper Moon 6. Many instances in the whole battle Shows the Power Gap of the upper 6 and the demon slayers.
And yeah, definitely can't blame them for being awful. That Upper 6 is epppppic, badass design with rainbow eyes, definitely looking forward to see him more.
Gyutaro is a kind big brother, as kind as Tanjiro. Tanjiro and Nezuko,Gyutaro and Daki,the two siblings are tied together in a tight bond. Tanjiro Nezuko grew up being loved by their parents,but Gyutaro Daki were not loved. The two siblings were similar but in contrast. Gyutaro Daki were unfortunate to be born in Yukaku, but they can't choose. There are too many things that human destiny does not understand. Muzan is Master Kagaya's ancestor. Master Kagaya has the same face as Muzan. This is a surprise. Mangaka of demon slayer is female. I'm sooooo sad that she stopped writing manga.........

Fun Fact: The reason why qyutaro was still a demon in the afterlife is because he was the one who decided to be a demon, daki didn't have a choice so the reason why the light was shining on her side was because she was given a choice to have a second chance but she decided to go in to hell with her big brother.
