If you have Diabetes you can eat whatever you please you just give incalin (however you spell it) accordingly. My little sister (7 almost 8) was diagnosed at 18 months with type 1 Diabetes. She eats just like any kid. Ice cream,candy,sugars, and sodas. No she didn't get Diabetes from eating to much of sweets. Not at all. So for type 1 Diabetes there is no "food" for just Diabetics. She can eat whatever. Without sugar maybe better at sometimes but she can eat sugar. Not trying to hate. Just inform.

Sorry for your loss my dad died as well, on Father's Day my family gets balloons and right on them and release them. Also I hope you enjoy this year you'll go through those weird awkward really sad times but keep strong the first year is always hard I wish you luck also I hope you guys make the most keep string
