@Bog roll you tourists don't have to buy these things🤣 I have been to Mexico I know all about the price gouging for tourist's, I was rented a jet ski for 3000 and one of the locals was rented one for 2000 pesos. They know tourists have more money than their locals and they will buy things they don't need🤣 it's your fault for being charged too much just don't buy the merchandise🤗

You could tell the guy has worked hard and long for his artwork. When he offer him 20k pesos for all of them he really thought about it. And you can see in his face and tell he wanted to say no, because all the heart and soul that went into his artwork is worth everything to him.

Genuine? This guy is lying about making the artwork. It's literally chinese crap. You can tell it's a mold poured with resin and then painted. It's not carved and it didn't take him a month. I don't understand how there are so many stupid people.

I hope people know these are made in mass production. Literally every stand in a market has these and they’re no where near 20k so for him to start an offer at 20k then going down 5k is a huge red flag. I feel like he’s giving money to people who’s trying to rip him off.

He wasn’t sure if he wanted to let all his art work go at once and you could see he was a bit sad even though he had the money in hand. You can clearly see he puts time and effort into his craft, don’t down play it, it’s just disrespectful.
His work is so cool and handmade. He must be proud of all his hard work. I agree that part really touched me when he was looking at his work and smiled
@@antoinebreton3181 his pieces are handmade and the quality shows even in a video so you can go ahead and buy the cheaper stuff and not support a hard working person who makes art by hand to make a living than thats on you but he’s not hustling anyone. If it were me i would charge way more. 20000 pesos is only like 1000$ if i took even more than a week to make one of those i would charge at least 500 a piece AT LEAST. He said he had been working on one of them for a month. Try hand carving a beautiful piece like that before you go running your mouth cuz this man is not hustling anyone. He deserves more.

You can tell he didn't want to depart with his art. The struggle of a true artist. Yeah he has it displayed to be sold but selling one by one is intimate and you can let one go one at a time. But letting them all go at once you can tell he was kinda sad he won't see them again. But he needs the money and he was like "why not" meaning he was willing to sacrifice his attachment to each one at once to get what they were made for in the first place. Great man

@@peroh3408 there are people who legitimately make that stuff, and in Mexico or wherever he is you're likely to find actually traditionally made works. alot of places buy factory stuff and sell them to dumb tourists but I doubt this UA-camrs a sucker if he's been doing it for a while

It just seem like socal and mainstream media have just targeted the chaotic, selfish, wannabe compassion with virtue signaling for some cause long gone. I feel like those people are the minority though, because I see the goodness of people every day. It's only when I open my phone for the most part do I see all the hate and division. It's really, really sweet what you're doing... But, trust me, most of the sellers lie by saying they did the artwork, specially when working on the big stores.
I used to tend a little spot inside Bahía Príncipe and I was advised by the other shopkeepers to tell tourists it was my work so I would sell more... "Those pieces were made by my 'abuelito', these by me, that by my husband"
Unless they are crafting in front of your eyes, they are probably lying.
