Saturday afternoon a wind driving flare up caused by a tree that hadn't completely been put out during Tuesday fire took even more farm land and endangered 500+ cattle. Air drops of retardant where made around the home and barn on the property while helicopters focused on putting out Hotspots with water. Luckily nobody was hurt. (All drone video recorded prior to aircraft entering the area)
They really went all out to save that farm, those air drops aren't cheap. Kudos.

The siren you heard was a "cattle siren" used to call cows to be fed. The ranchers were using it to draw the cattle away from the fire, as the cattle will follow thinking they are to be fed.

It's about time they started with an air drops. They could have saved a lot of homes & ranch's if they'd have started sooner.
They've been doing airdrops for a few days but they couldn't the day the fires broke out because the wind was gusting over 60 mph and it wasn't safe and even if they tried the wind would've blown the water or retardent away.
I think they have been doing it for several days dude.

They have, but if the wind is to intense it can blow the retardant away from the intended spot and won't be effective.
