FYI... Jaheira can wear Khalid's amulet found in the basement of her house that gives her immunity to all curse spells when equipped. So that's another way you can have somebody open all the chests for you without getting the curse.
If you don't want to use a full rest to get the weapons: After killing the enemies loot their bodies, nothing there but, if you pick the corpse and then press "tab" to open the party wide and then go to the top left most "search" option and type either Deva or Scimitar they will show as equipables; so, equip them, drop the corpse and move on to the nether regions.

@@minos69666 like I know that, but thunderous smite is only 2d6 or 12 damage max with channel divinity because it can’t be upcasted nor doubled with wet condition. Paladin -cleric multiclass is still great though for example getting your paladin spirit guardian is really strong
@@yohanes2034 2nd time you say the same. Good stuff Ian. I've heard that if you cast remove curse/drink potion/short rest in front of Steel Watchers, they'll help you fight the devas which is rad.
Instead of fog you can dialogue lock the guy inside by standing on the other side of him forcing him to turn and look at you. Then let your thief do their thing

@@ElectricalExistence it seems they’ve also patched out the glitch that previously let you get your summons weapons (ie the electrified flail from the myrmidon) and also the items that the Deva drop no longer seems to happen either 🤔 it’s just an empty pouch left there now
I had to go to your updated video to find it (I did this last night and found the bodies empty, but your updated videos set me straight). While the base damage is impressive, the lack of pluses makes it kind of annoying compared to other legendary weapons, since many of the opponents you're facing in Act 3 tend to have high ACs.
Its true, I wish you could get this weapon in act 2, it would be great against all the enemies there! Glad you got it! I wish I could edit videos, it would have been far better if I could have just changed this one to show the new way!

So at 1:35 ... the Fog Cloud isn't needed, just go into Turn Based Mode when the NPC isn't looking your way, no need to waste a spell slot. Also they aren't ... Diva's .... it's pronounced Day-Vuh. Deva not Diva...
Good call on the turn based mode! I never remember to use it outside of combat or stealing from traders haha! After missing some story points in act 1, I tend to long rest so often now just so I don't miss the story progression that I'm rarely short on spell slots. Hey, they patched this. You now need to pick up the body before resting use the search function for the mace. Here is an updated video: ua-cam.com/video/jszhD2XQzXs/v-deo.html
They already patched it, in theory, once. It used to be more straight forward. Like so many other bugs, it turns out there were other ways to achieve it. They should have coded it so that the 4d8 radiant is a damage rider effect from the deva itself but... they didn't.
It's true. It's not game breaking or anything (by this stage most weapons you have are better) so I don't think it is at the top of their list to fix, but I'm sure it will be patched at some point.
The main part of the video on getting the items from the chests still works. However getting the Devas, Djinnis, or Cambions weapon after the long rest no longer works. Now to get their weapons you need to pick up their body and search for the weapon name, it will then show up and you can equip it or move it to your inventory.
@@Ianistoocommon If you have a controller it’s actually easier, you can just pick up the body, open any characters inventory, press A/X on the characters weapon and just scroll down to the mace to equip it and get it. it won’t work with mouse and keyboard but as you say you can just search for it and type it in

Hello, If you heal with a cleric of Helm, you will have 2 Djiinni and they drop Secret Scimitar (6-29 damage and 2d10 poison damage) :)
Thanks for adding!
Ooh scimitars are good for Druid (my preferred character) so that’s good to know. There are not many strong scimitars

True, and that is a very good way! I'm so used to just sending in my thief alone that I forget to do stuff like that.
You can also use Jaheira with Khalid's Gift to get the items without being cursed, since that makes it so she can't be cursed

Clerics trigger different opponents depending on the god. Either a deva, djinni or cambion.
Which of these can you dominate? Until long rest for example?
Does anyone know what weapons you get if it’s the Djinni or the Cambion?
