- USBgpio is a physical device (based on an @Arduino) with 12 header pins (10 GPIO, 3.3V, GND) that hooks up to any modern computer via a USB port. There is also an accompanying Python library that controls the GPIO pins with simple commands. More info here: github.com/nic...
Hello. Grate idea! Thanks for that. Is there a way to integrate your device with home assistant?
Where there's a will, there's a way. 😃
Nice idea. Thanks for sharing it.
Bycicle re-invation? Bravo!
Hi Nick, Love the video. I looked into finding or making separate GPIO add-on USB interfaces when we had the Pi shortage a while back. Most of the alternative boards at that time were lacking the necessary I/O components required for those of us that needed that functionality. I found a few existing solutions, but as a DIY'er, I found it more satisfying to overcome those challenges on my own. I'm glad you did as well, and shared that with the rest of us. Thank you. BTW, I'm subscribing. You are at 555 right now, so I'll be converting that to a dual timer in a sec. =) cheers and 73.
Ha! Thanks! I noticed the 555 too and was wondering when I'd get another timer.
Planning my first steps into this hobby. This will be on the top of my project list!
Nice. Have fun!
