Kage, I love you man. But it is honestly impressed how you misunderstood every single thing that happened in this quest, lol. Btw, if you read between the lines, Ratio is probably the nicest person we've met in this game. He is one hell of a tsundere though.
This is when Duke Inferno first introduced (it implied that the whole problem orchestrated by Dr. Ratio though). Also Hertha is such a sass. I love her for that
He is destruction path and he said it himself he was ready to die as the path he took ( if he was any other path other than nullity i can see him having eternal flame attribute in a way)
@@rs2527 this is plausible as he is 'everlasting' himself.. but that is only against other powers, Nihility is such a bad matchup sadly, as everything turns for naught, even destruction. but yes, he can comeback if Acheron took mercy on him even if he was against it cause we never really see how he died, it was just implied death on the flashback.
It is a chalk xD though it isn't like cylinder shape. I really like how he fights tbh. The way he opens up his book while he holds the chalk then he throws it as if the enemies "answer" wrongly or ignore him thus he "gives feedback". Very anime like especially the fact his statue jojo pose lol.
it's doubtful that ratio will end up becoming a villain in the conventional sense, but it's easy to see why he comes off as someone really hard to assess and like - he hates mediocrity, but has a very strong sense of morality and principles that honestly gives him so much grief lol. he sees the hypocrisy of the intelligentsia guild as well as the genius society and holds disdain for these organizations, and here screwllum lays down what ratio intended to do - uproot the blind idol-worship the so-called "mediocre" humans in the space station hold for geniuses. it says a lot that this is the quest that comes directly after the one that featured ruan mei, where we could see just how much buzz she generated amongst the people of the space station. sorry for the essay! i LOVED rewatching this quest from a new perspective because when i played it was so sleepy i couldn't really make heads and tails of it lol it was a lot of talking 😭
The funny thing about Duke Inferno is that he demonstrates the importance of perspective; no matter if it was the player or Acheron who fought him, he still ends up dead, but because it _wasn't_ us who killed him, he suddenly feels unimportant and insignificant. For once, the player _doesn't_ get to be the dragon-slaying hero, instead experiencing things just as everyone else does throughout _our_ journey; one day there's a massive existential threat, the next it's suddenly been handled.
A this was waaaay before we found out about Duke Inferno’s I would say tragic passing but I’m not gonna sugarcoat it he had his flaming ass beaten and his life extinguished by my girl Acheron.
Summary: Ratio pulled out Nagito Komaeda and used problems to elevate thinking and logic for the space station researchers, therefore making them more independent and hopefully stop worshiping the geniuses from Genius Society
This quest is my favorite. It’s so funny to watch Dr. Ratio roast the Trailblazer and then you can see that he comes to like us a little bit in the end. Also I can’t wait long enough for Screwllum banner.
Calling Ratio evil is like calling any surgeon evil. What I have heard, surgeons are often psychopaths that function within the society while doing what they do. I'm not calling Ratio a psychopath per say, but a person that follows rationality and smarts are often associated with psychopaths. On another note, I was expecting kage to skip this quest entirely.
Many people that act mainly on logic and reason are looked at as heartless, evil, or psychotic by others that either act mainly on emotions and morality. It’s the people that have a more moderate balanced mindset of both rational and logic, but don’t forgo emotions and morals that can see both sides objectively even if they don’t support a side actively.
I don't think it's the rationality and smarts that make them "psychopathic". The best explanation I've heard is that surgeons don't see people as actual flesh and blood people, but as machines or objects. This is why surgeons lack the hesitation most people would experience when faced with cutting someone open. You're not a "person" in their eyes, but an object or thing with a faulty component that must be fixed. Like how a mechanic sees a car.
Saying Ratio is a villain for his speech feels like gross mischaracterization imo - it seems pretty clear to me that he has a very altruistic view of the way he uses his genius. He says himself that he doesnt like to see fools because he knows that even non-geniuses have the potential to pick themselves up, and he doesn't like blind worship of geniuses because it only reinforces overdependence. Basically, he cares about common people and he finds it disgusting that geniuses essentially "gatekeep" their knowledge. Seems like a good guy thing to me, even if the way he goes about it feels so self-important lol (on one hand, he has the same "narcissism" as any typical genius doctor or surgeon. they're annoying, but necessary)
I think this is propaganda for Dottore. Or at least giving a less fully psychopathic version without annoying people by actually redeeming Dottore of all people without buttering people up beforehand with this propaganda of explicitly laying out a plausibly reasonable explanation for pursuing unfettered knowledge and putting people at risk.
Indeed. I do wish my dad was so caring so as to send me out on terrorist missions with a low chance of survival in the hopes that I would draw the gaze of God for approval but unfortunately he is still out for milk so I had to make do on my own.
I appreciate that Hoyoverse took the time to create a character named Dr Ratio and _actually_ have him roast people
He managed to get the station to plunge into chaos and then get offscreened. I'm both baffled and amazed.
Well he just won't accept defeat and tried to go out like a true Chad but got 1 shotted 😂
Yeah… I was really looking forward to fighting/playing a flaming, floating goat head with a suit 😞

The setup for Duke Inferno... only to be off screened 💀💀💀
Imagine if he returns in 2.2

@@ExplosionGod1222 We saw firefly "die" too but look what happened to her
This quest happens before his demise in the Penacony arc.
It's kind of hard to tell from the angles, but what Dr. Ratio is throwing is chalk. Sort of like what teachers do in anime.

Herta’s voice actress was perfectly chosen. I love her sassiness….I don’t think that’s how it’s spelled 😓.
Don't worry you spelled sassiness correctly

To be fair, Herta will 'Wh0' just about everyone who crosses paths with her but doesn't contribute directly to her interests.
That's why we stan her.
Is it me or Herta is always hilarious??
She is also busy but still agrees to take photos with us

It’s always a great day when Kage posts
I know I’m sooo late but I love your videos more then anything I enjoy it’s very much don’t stop dude ❤❤❤
ngl, my ratio is still at my storage, unwrapped and still level 1 XD
I enjoy your joy when Asta appears, I'm the same. XD Love Pink Mona.
I didn’t even know this event exist, thank you Kage for showing me this
You should watch your timeline, there it shows what missions you havent done or missed out, thankfully HSR let you revisit all the event quest 😊
Hoyo Games... Find the astrologist + Make them your Princess + Save the Princess = You're the hero.
Herta is always a treat. And yeah Ratio is a wild card for sure
Jeikage reaction to this quest is the reason why I agree with ratio, his hatred is too much that he ignored the whole point of this quest.
You do need to build your Herta. She's great in Pure Fiction.
Wow he hasn't got this damb this old so guess next is penaciny
Bruh why the feckin breathing at the beginning 😭
We're eating good
Duke Inferno was my most anticipated character. As much as I love my girl Acheron….Duke was mine 😭.

Damn it Jeikage
WOOOOHOOOOOOOO
I’m surprised you never done this before 😂
more depression lezzgo
I don't get why they censored Herta in the news broadcast 😭
Please do the Chiori story
