"The Secret of the Four Winds" is a Japanese-style action role-playing game (in development) that we have been working on for years.
This game took more work, time and resources than Metal Dragon, Life on Mars and Life on Earth COMBINED.
The cartridge contains a custom board with an audio enhancement chip that offers the possibility to enjoy the game with Sega CD / Mega-CD music quality (No actual Sega CD / Mega-CD is required).
This game will make use of that audio chip but it can also be played with the console's original audio if desired.
This is just the very beginning of the game. Further on the player will control 3 different characters at the same time (the player can control any of the 3 characters at any time and the other characters will be controlled by the CPU). The player can give orders and priorities to the other characters at any time so the companions do what we need them to do.
The game-play is deep, with some strategy and tactics, character development at will (grow a given character as a tank or as an attacker or healer, etc.). The story also begins simple and quite typical, but it will evolve and change quite a lot. The decisions you make during the game will have consequences, etc.
The game should take around 20 to 30 hours to finish (depending on the player) and it has re-playability value since your choices will slightly change some parts of the story and ending.
We expect shipments will begin on early 2025.

-Story-rich Action JRPG influenced from classics such as Snatcher, SD Snatcher (MSX2), Shadowrun (SNES) and some touches of Final Fantasy / Chrono Trigger.
-Control 3 characters at the same time, and level them up at will.
-Participate on epic and massive battles.
-Your choices will have consequences.
-Mutant chickens!
-Save game in the cartridge (no battery necessary so you will never lose your progress).
-Cartridge with custom board, with a special sound chip and enhanced capacity.
-3 languages available: English, Japanese and Spanish.

En la descripción, dice que deberían ser necesarios entre 20 y 30 horas para terminar el juego. Pregunta: ¿Se utilizará una batería o una memoria flash para guardar en el cartucho, o se utilizará una contraseña para continuar donde lo dejó?
Al igual que nuestros 2 últimos juegos de MegaDrive (Life on Mars y Life on Earth) el progreso se guarda en una memoria FLASH, que no requiere batería y no se borrará nunca. Un sistema de passwords en un RPG tan complejo como este, con tantos status y variables ocuparía miles de caracteres ^_^;

The numeral when. U hit the enemy with a shot is annoying.
It get it creates flash and pizzaz on the screen but it just detract from realism and atmosphere and substance .
This is a Role Playing Game. The player needs to know how effective his attacks are against the enemies, if he hits it or not, if it is a critical, etc. All attacks are dice-based, the computer throws a dice, adds or substracts depending on the attacker and deffender status and shows a result. This is not an arcade / action game.

The boss is too much of a push over .!!
He need to move towards the player and try to corner him and swing that damn axe and destroy those boxes . The player should be able to run around the boxes..
That boss is menacing.
But we hate when a boss is an easy kill..
I hated that about shinobi 3 some cool characters die in few hits.!!
Instead of being as strong as they look.
That makes the game have substance.
Yes the character runs now.!! But he runs too damn fast.!
We don’t wan the game to go by and just end too soon.!
I still say the game should be named
Mad city . Or something.
Infinite ammo is a no.!..!!!

This is a 16 bits Sega genesis Role Playing Game. Have you seen other Sega Genesis Role Playing Games? I see you want something else completelly different, so this game is definitively not for you. That first encounter with that first boss is pre-determined, either you win or lose that encounter, the result is the same. That is an introductory encounter.
