With Joe’s form rising he has his eyes set on the World Matchplay and looking forward to seeing the crowds.
We talk about coaching in Darts and is it necessary and why isn’t it popular - lovely interview in a relaxed atmosphere allowing you to get up close with Joe “The Rockstar “ Cullen.
This has made me feel better about my practice sessions mainly being throwing at treble 20s
Loved loved loved this vid. No practice partners, just chucks at treble 20 for couple hours at home. Keeps it all simple.

If you think to much about how you throw it will really screw up your throw. To me some folks just have a natural throw . Like Smith very fluid just aim throw and release the dart pretty much the same way every time.

I've got this obsession with just playing 501 on repeat against the bots and I've realised now it just doesn't help. When I switched to one target for a period of time the benefit was massive, when needing to go for that one target the confidence was just there. Certainly going to stop playing 501 for practice now.

Why do players walk on the last dart? Surely the idea would be to throw every dart the exact way? You never see MVG do it.Michael Smith does it all the time.In the biggest games.Not a disadvantage?
It's because a lot of players throw their last dart softer for some reason (myself included). If you start moving forward it reminds you to follow through correctly with the dart! It definitely can make a difference. Of course for top pro's, it's potentially a big flaw, as you mentioned the serial winners don't do it!

@@xzibitboy1000 Go have a listen to his interview with Dan Dawson on the Good Darts Podcast. Episode 37. In it he talks about how he doesn’t love darts. It’s a good interview and he’s a nice guy. Just a shame that he doesn’t have a deep passion for the sport.
is it possible, that next time this winmau guy stops falling into joes words? every time when the answer would have been interesting that guy talked again! Let the Player speak the sentence and then come with something else again. made me so angry
