I’ve always loved Reggae music since I was a child, finally got to visit Jamaica, sadly only on a cruise, but the people are lovely, and it’s even more beautiful in person.
The shit colonialism brought to all of the Americas made up for cultural development after we won. Fucking love Jamaica's identity & culture. Much love from Mexico!
The loudest island, guarantee if you ask someone to name a Caribbean country , Jamaica would be it. Beautiful country and beautiful people out of many. 🇬🇧❤️🇯🇲
This video is so sad. It’s a shame that a whole island of people fall victim to slavery because of its resources. Then those people rebel and you just decide to go to war with them and kill them then bring in your own slaves.
So literally not a single word on the Scottish slaves/indentured servants sent there, nothing about how 70% + surnames are Scottish to this day, nothing about the St Andrew (the reason for the similarity to the Scotland flag). Nothing about how the Jamaican flag colours are one of the most unique flag colours in the world... I know its supposed to be "quick" but what a "whitewash".
He didn’t go in about how the tainos, Inca and Toltecs, Aztec are from the same tribe… and over 9 million South American natives were killed during Spanish colonization and all the rape they did.. that’s why most people from the Caribbean are mixed 🤯 Ik ik surprising right.. brown and black Latinos have some Spanish in us but we also have native and African… stfu and go cry about it. It’s a 4 minute video!
Yes I was studying this guy and then he was dead,it was through him i got taught about the 440hz v 432hz question,I never knew he was from yard,I’m 75 by the way,we could learn a lot more from some of the youth,I like battle rapper “Daylyt” he’s the dogs bollox
Your picture of Paul Bogle is not him. It is more likely Rev. James Service of Portland, Jamaica. Also, showing him wearing a lady's coat seems a little undignified.
Why do you comment without checking first? Mr History has done research, and it is Paul Bogle. He's not wearing a dress, but a single buttoned jacket which were popular at that time.
@@mankyraver because I have checked. Mr. History and you can see for yourselves that the button on the $2 bill is on the wrong side for a man's coat, but the correct side for a woman's coat.
was just there... a tale of two jamaicas... the resorts were great, but I also ventured off the resorts and saw way too much poverty and people living in conditions that would not be acceptable in the US.
Let me clear up some things. The Taino and Arawak were 2 tribes on Jamaica that were close allies and had similar cultures and lived in peace on the island.
Americas and Caribbean is a great miss mash of Europeans and Africans and from India. Original inhabitants are pretty much gone. New culture from other cultures. Nothing wrong with that. Is like leaving your old culture behind and making up another. 🌊 🐚
so basically: colonised enslaved colonised again enslaved again uprising uprising uprising slavery abolished independence all mostly good now ______________________ am I right?

Gaslighting and lies. Manipulation is an odd tactic. Get creative.

Lmao nice, that was the video's name
:D a great rundown, very informative
You forgot the Arawak but at least you mentioned the taino
I thought they meant the same thing, that's what I learned
I think arawak was just a language spoken by the tainos
Let me clear up some things. The Taino and Arawak were 2 tribes on Jamaica that were close allies and had similar cultures and lived in peace on the island.
Nice
Your the best to jamaica
Great job, lots of information in such a short time. Could be a little slower though.
