    That Asian gentleman’s skill set is almost too good. Those hard calf kicks, intelligent stance switches, and his instincts in the pocket are outstanding. Like a more precise version of Dominick Cruz. If he were young he’d be a real prospect.

      Well the fighting style he is using is an old one seen in 3 centuries ,first in Uk then it went to USA / Canada , so unlike the other people here, he fights in the style of his western inheritance, as a US man, hence the "western man", plus I like the Wrestling John Wayne imagery of it. I don't mean the other men aren't real, or any negative far from it, but just he's the authentic western grappler in his style. visually, and it was nice to see how effective it was. • @mentalgain
      @mentalgain 11 місяців тому +10

      45yo here.. was going through the exact same thing all of 2023. I went from 170lbs to topping out at 221lbs around Aug 2023. And the most vivid thing I remember was how miserable I felt, and the disgust I had with myself because I couldn't even bend over to tie my damn shoes. I made the decision right then to lose that weight. So the first thing I did was I started intermittent fasting. I'd eat my last meal/snack whatever, no later than 8pm, and would not eat again until after 12p the next day- often times going past 12p just to challenge myself(esp when the weight began to shed). So I would fast, and when I finally did eat for the day I implemented 2 main changes and stuck to it: First, I forced myself to eat much smaller portions than what I typically ate and, second, I only ate eggs, fruit, meat, and veggies on most days. But, only on most days. Because I made sure that I had days when I added carbs (in moderation) to my diet as well. Contrary to what some believe, the body needs carbs. But for the most part I only ate boiled eggs, meat(not fried!), veggies, and fruit. And to break up the monotony I had little healthy snacks like brazil nuts and walnuts etc from time to time. Let me not forget to add that during all of this I also cut out drinking alcohol. I was never a big drinker anyway but at that time it had become a bit of an after work routine. So I cut it out. It was tough, but the human brain is tougher/smarter than a substance, so I harnessed that mental power and quit(pride/ego played a big part, it wouldnt allow me to let some brainless substance control me). The last thing I implemented was walking 30mins a day after work, every single work day, NO MATTER HOW HOT IT WAS outside. People used to think I was INSANE lol, and quite a few people flat out told me that it wouldn't work and that I was just "wasting my time". "Those 6-pack days are over buddy just accept it, it happens to us all!"..said all the fat bald 50yo coworkers and neighbors alike... By mid-October I was down to 204lbs and a few of them would no longer even look me in the eye. Shame, I guess? By January 1, 2024 I was down to 181lbs. And right now currently sitting at the end of the month I am a lean muscular 176lbs(and would like to stay right here) just like I used to be before I blew up to 221lbs. Moral of the story, it's not too late to get it together brother. And it doesn't take fat burning substances or powders nor killing yourself in the gym to do it. Hell I did not visit any manner of "gym" NOT ONE TIME during this journey. Nor did I do ANY type of exercise outside a stationary bike when I had access to one- and the walking after work routine. Basically, all I did was make lifestyle changes. And that's all you have to do. Except you have to KEEP doing it and don't stop just because you're a month in and don't "see" progress. But the cool thing about what happens when keep going, is that you cross this "threshold" of sorts where you go from struggling to implement the changes, to embracing it. And it becomes even easier for you to stay away from eating like sh*t and it becomes easier for you to get out there and get your 30min walk in and, as a matter of fact, you'll actually LOOK FORWARD to to the damn walk, I kid you not. It'll become one of your favorite parts of the day because you're beginning to see what it's doing to you. You just have to discipline yourself and do it bro. If you can start intermittent fasting, cut out the crappy food and stick to only meat and veggies when you do finally eat for the day, and walk 30mins per day, you WILL see results. Actually, now that I think about it I only walked 5 days a week, I didn't walk every day of the week. Mon-Fri only. And I still saw results. I promise you if you literally do those things above, and actually do them, and stick to it and actually DO THEM AND LIVE BY IT, you'll be tying your shoes with ease by SPRING 2024. Good luck.

      @@LogicAtItsFinest Umm...Jesus: "To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some." You don't have to be a Biblical scholar to know that fighting for sport is not something that Jesus would want you to be doing. He can do what he wants but he should avoid bringing Jesus' name into it.

    • @bird8847
      @bird8847 8 місяців тому +19

      @@GizmoMaltese You're misinterpreting that verse. 'To the weak, I became weak, that I might win the weak. . .' Meaning that he stooped down to their level to show them that he loves them enough to bring himself down to their level. Also, how is fighting for sport against Jesus' teachings? The Father created man in such a way that we are the only animals on this earth that can strike and wrestle as coordinated and as skilled as we can today. He made us in such a way that we can create stuff like martial arts, and we can strengthen our bodies to the point of becoming better fighters. Combat sports are a way to honor his design, because not even machinery can replicate our punching and kicking ability while keeping our other functions.

      Cauliflower just means they've taken a lot of hits. Not necessarily a skill indicator. Something you learn when start boxing. It just means there's a chance they could have skill by now. And not all Asians can fight (I'm half Chinese, most of family on that side is useless physically). But those who choose to do so focus their discipline in that area so well and so long that the end result ends up pretty scary to a normie. Has to do with Asian culture of being disciplined and focused so you don't feel completely worthless like you've wasted your life. That you actually accomplished something. Totally different mindset.

    These were all great. Bucket List (last guy) was the most fun to watch. The way it ended was brutal. I hope his opponent was okay after the fight. That was a perfect example of "the lights are on, but nobody's home."

    They were all great fights but I have two favorites out of the lineup. Fight number 3 was a talented performance by class act disciplined fighter/martial artist. But 5 was epic because "Bucket List" rode his motorcycle "motorsickle" from Oklahoma "Just to keep it cheap" and fought someone that he may have not known, who or what he was fighting against.

      @@oldboydavid I just subscribed to your channel. I must admit that your style is very unique and quite effective. There has been a lot of great talent that has shown up to Streetbeefs and you (in my opinion) are at the top of that list. I've been studying karate, judo, jiujitsu and Kyusho for some years now and your technique is impressive to say the least. Much respect! Oss! 🥋🤙🏼

      @@oldboydavid well keep up the good work and always be willing to add more tools to your tool box. I've found that understanding the basics in blocking, striking and kicking always works best but every now and then it's cool to toss a fancy technique in the mix to keep your opponent on their toes. I live in Indiana but would love to have an opportunity to train with you. We could share techniques with each other.
