    Hey Reynad, props for you taking it like a champ and not flipping out like on stream. With that kind of RNG and with money on stake I wouldn't be able to keep it togheter.
    I hope your next competitive games will have crazy RNG in your favor to compensate, you truly are an amazing player and a great entertainist.

    It's an 8/8 charge not a 9/9 charge. You can hear the salt eating itself through there.

    • @Krunschy
      @Krunschy 8 років тому

      Michael Gagin
      The webspinner isn't implied for numerous reasons. His exact words were:
      "I mean, yeah, a 1 mana minion that makes a 9/9 charge creature is [...]"
      Firstly does the webspinner not have charge, so it's not 9 charge damage, making adding the webspinner damage/stats incorrect. In fact he could just ping the webspinner so it could never attack at all.
      Secondly he says that it _makes_ a 9/9 minion. In that context this means that it _created_ that 9/9 therefore itself is excluded.

    Complaining about competitive Hearthstone in a format based almost purely on RNG, that's how strong the salt is

    • @InbredTaco
      @InbredTaco 8 років тому

      +Sniperfuchs There are cards like Implosion, Deadly Shot, Boom Bots, Flame Cannon, MC Tech that are POORLY fucking designed and add terrible RNG to the game. Obviously he's going to get fucked by topdecks, or cards that require RNG. Let a rank 20 verse a Legend player, I guarantee you the Legend will win 90% of the time despite the shit amount of RNG cards.

    • @Sniperfuchs
      @Sniperfuchs 8 років тому

      Honey Pig You didn't get what I was saying. Of course making good plays is about limiting the RNG (like Flame Cannon on a board with 1 minion), but I was talking about the format (WSOS) being purely RNG. My comment isn't about RNG in the game.

    Why is hearthstone an e-sports where a much worse player can beat a much better player through pure rng and simply win I'm not saying Reynad is neccisarrily better but as an e-sport it just seems so terrible

    • @Spartan0430
      @Spartan0430 8 років тому +1

      +TheElectriczil
      because people will watch it and there is money to be had. it's as simple as that.

    • @TheElectriczil
      @TheElectriczil 8 років тому +1

      Spartan0430 its a disgrace to what the rest of the e-sports represent

    • @Spartan0430
      @Spartan0430 8 років тому

      TheElectriczil
      eh i don't really think so, it is its own e-sport, people won't suddenly think less of CS:GO or LoL or whatever because of a card game. most of the people it will turn off from e-sports probably didn't care about them much anyway.

    • @TheElectriczil
      @TheElectriczil 8 років тому +1

      Spartan0430 it shouldn't even be called an e-sport its like calling poker a sport in a way i think they have found some of the best hearthstone players in the scene but theres a reason in hearthstone you cant be like this team is the best team because their strengths are x y and z this player is currently the best in the world his playstyle is like this and these are some of the factors that make him so good etc and its all because its like well this guy won this tournament basically because RNG went his way its like whats the point its not based on whose the better player its like why not just flip a coin you basically get the same result sure there are missplays that can cost players the game but those are quite rare usually they just play their deck pretty well dont make any huge mistakes and win even if someone else may have played better

    • @Spartan0430
      @Spartan0430 8 років тому

      TheElectriczil
      in all honesty it doesn't fully matter as long as people watch it, play it and the competitive scene is profitable. people will always argue what is and isn't a sport. besides skill is the most important factor in hearthstone, and it will be even more so with GvG finally getting phased out (thank god), otherwise tournament winners and leaderboard placers wouldn't consistently be the same group of people. sure there is a significant RNG element, it is a card game after all, but contrary to popular belief it doesn't dictate everything. i'd look forward to hearthstone e-sports in the coming months because it should get a lot more interesting with the coming changes.
