As a Taiwanese I can proof that's really common in Taiwan and delicious. Usually we addon pepper ,plum or nori powder The step to make a Ji-pai is following 1.use chicken breast 2.pickle it with soysouce pepper and little bit star anise for at least two hours 3.Fry twice make it crispy
The breading looks so beautiful on that...It does look like a big chicken nugget but I don’t think the breading is the same...I think it’s the tapioca flour that makes it look like that..the technique they use...that’s also why it’s crunchy AF....MMMMMM😋
