I read somewhere that a Creator looked at his work and said, "It is good"------and here we have another creator who derives satisfaction after completing a job well devised and done. I don't know what your training and previous experience gave you this God granted skill, but I sit here quite impressed! Now, doesn't that just make your day? lol
Absolutely beautiful. You are a master. After building for 42 years, it takes a lot to impress me, but I am truly impressed. At first, I wasn't sure about the chains, but after they were finished and painted, they look great. Had you farmed out the steelwork, you would be amazed at how much money you just saved, and you know it was done right. Beautiful job on everything, you and your crew are truly blessed.
I second this. Years ago, I had really long hair and a wisp got snagged by my drill motor and ripped out of my scalp. I have a small scar where no hair will grow.
Your engineering/fabrication skills are fantastic. The chains are 'icing on the cake'. It will be nice to see the brackets installed on the post. Big blessings to you all.
I'm transported back to my childhood watching you cutting and welding. My father was a welder by trade and he created in his backyard shop. Watching you brings that all back for me. Thank you. 😊👍💗🇨🇦
You two are simply amazing with your carpentry skills and ingenuity. You put new meaning into the ''hard'' of hard work and the results are stunning! So glad I found y'all back in the early stages of your build. I wore myself out helping you underpin the trailer, build your drive, build the solar system, the shop, and rocking it. 😂 I don't understand why you don't have a million subs. Best thing on You tube today!
Wow that is amazing. They will make quite the statement in your beautiful home. A smaller version would be great as a mailbox holder. You never cease to amaze me with your skills. Great job guys.
Pro tip, when you are drilling two pieces of metal to get the holes to align, tac weld around the perimeter of the piece and you can turn it, flip it do whatever you want and just grind the tacs off at the end to separate them. Keeps them perfectly aligned
I love the brackets. You are building an awesome house. I look forward to your videos every week. Love your channel and watching your kids help you makes it even better.
Jacob and Natalie, you both continually amaze and impress with your ingenuity and hard work. I love the chain look. It exemplifies a look that is relevant to medieval times when knights were bold and iron was in fashion for some things. It just reminds me somewhat of what I have seen in some castles in Europe. You certainly won't have any failures with this beam connection system.
Guys the brackets came out awesome! With custom details like that, I like to picture someone walking through the building 100 years from now, thinking, "wow, look at how cool those are! They sure don't make stuff like that anymore!"
I'm an avid watcher and absolutely love the channel. I'm a carpenter by trade and about to retire .I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and would have loved to do something like this but I get alot off pleasure watching you & and your wife and family we've got a saying in the UK those steel brackets are the bollocks keep up the great work 👏 👍
Is there anything that you can’t do? I don’t even know what posting beams are but those brackets that you made are amazing. Always good to see the world‘s best helpers helping you paint. Blessings to you and your amazing family one step closer to completing your home.🙏🏾🥰
I can't wait to see everything all done with the house and what you are going to do next. Everything is so amazing. I love the brackets you made and with the chain 🥰.
I do like the chains . I do love this channel and about 6:30 I remembered your video. I've been busy all day and it took all my consideration. Thanks for all your videos. They are very interesting. See all of you next Sunday.
Those brackets are strong enough to land the Space Shuttle on your roof. Nice job, precise, well reinforced, meticulous and decorative. Congratulations. 👍👍💪💪
I never cease to be amazed. Talented, sure, but my gosh the vision. Love it, the chains, and "our" new home. :) You could never trust a home builder to use the same plans and be as meticulous in ensuring a quality build. Incredible. Best part was Natalie's professional painting job. Great Job Natalie!! Stay Safe
Hi, everything you do is great. You have become professionals. I know that you plan well for every part of the work you do. May you always be successful.🌹
Excellent design and craftsmanship. I would have added a gusset plate between the chain(s) and bracket for additional support but I'm sure the full welds will hold forever as is.
I love your channel. I have a request. Over the last six months I've had several falls, and an inner ear injury. I'm in physical therapy and I will be getting a ride to KU hospital in Kansas city, Mo. Please pray for us
I like the chains on the brackets you have made. The welding job and the meticulous work creating the chains to pop out, you did excellent work. I can't wait until next week seeing it all come together. Keep up the good work.
At first when you where explaining your chain idea I was not grasping it... then when you finished the first one the light bulb hit and I am very impressed with how cool it is... There is a Shaker Proverb that says something to the effect of, 'Don't make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it is both necessary and useful, don't hesitate to make it beautiful'... I will substitute the word "beautiful" with the word "Cool" here.
In my opinion, you are nothing short of amazing genius. The creativity you have is simply amazing. Those decorative beam brackets will look awesome in your ceiling. Great job!
Sometimes knowing when enough is enough can be challenging . The home is really taking shape and is quite impressive . You, Natalie, and the kids make a great team
The Brackets, look GREAT, very cool vibe that was created with the chain detail ! I’am very impressed with all the work you guys have done. Building your house, doing the work of ALL the different trades !
You guys are doing a great job! I know you like to be frugal with everything, but you really need to get rid of the Flux core welding and use argon gas to weld . Much cleaner and almost nothing to clean up after.
Well I would say you have mastered yet another skill set and as always the big LiL Man Eli was there helping this is by far my favorite family show. Thanks for taking us along on your great adventure. See you next week!!! Artie B
If the purpose of the paint is to protect the wood from the weather make sure that the paint is waterproof. If it is not waterproof and it rains on it or snows on it it will pop right off of the subfloor. You should check this if it is water soluble just put another coat of oil-based paint or exterior paint. Love your channel you guys are fantastic.
Yall need a beam saw its an attachment for a skilsaw that has basically a 18" chainsaw blade points straight down. And also a metal skilsaw blade would possibly work much faster if you have many more sheets of metal to cut up.
very impressive, I suggest that you consider some way to have some light source in those chained areas, maybe a hidden wire hole for future use? it will look amazing. good job you guys.

Did someone mention, "OVERKILL," or was I just dreaming? LOL
Very Cool & Unique!! Can’t wait to see them in their final resting places!! 😍😍😍

Making Sunday the best day of the week !! Thank you !!! This is a Bold house, so, the brackets you have built will be real statement pieces.
Wow that is amazing. They will make quite the statement in your beautiful home. A smaller version would be great as a mailbox holder. You never cease to amaze me with your skills. Great job guys.

Natalie sure knows what to do with her skills well done 👍
Don’t forget to add electric to the beam for lights maybe on top a plug that is switched
Great idea 💡
