Pa Raghavan is probably the best contemporary non-fiction writer in Tamil. This is a very good interview. Lot of references. He is to the point and sharp. Happy to see him doing interviews.

Good suggestions Pa, Ra! Mamallan is good writer no doubt abt it however he is not getting limelight because of his character, thinking he knows everything, and others doesn't know anything!

First of all, I like all the recommendations of Pa Raghavan and don't disagree with anything suggested here - one point worth noting though - it is not accurate to say writer Sundara Ramawami didn't win any awards. He was the recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement Award from Tamil Literary Garden (தமிழ் இலக்கிய தோட்டத்தின் இயல் விருது) from Canada in 2001.
