I aggree 1st of all i dont get milage. So only.
To utilizes this vehicle best u need to drive cool & calm, u will get good milage. Since this suspension tuned for comfort should not drive fast. Sudden acceleration & braking not at all suited for the purpose of vehicle made for😀

i am from indore Mp, i own i20elite 2017 model, same braking issue i have in my vehicle too, although i don't drive much on high speed but few times when i was driving fast i observed same thing
I'm from indore too i have asta (o) Diesel 2017 model but not I'm having such issue or maybe i haven't discovered it yet.
I from Indore also....I had known the issues in i20 as we have one in family, however considering these issues and higher service cost I increased my budget and went for eco sport in 2017, in 2020 dec, my brother was also looking for miNi suv and he liked venue....But after driving and specially breakiNg Hyundai venue...He also went for new eco sport....

Verna 2020 m b ye somewhere problem hai.. hyundai should start give brake assistance feature.
Hyundais suffer from a typical high speed brake fade which has persisted since its early Santro days.
Sir ye issue team bhp me bhee reflect hua hai just search for lapses by hyundai and you will see hundreds of this incident of brake failures and quality issues in Hyundai's being reported not only in i20 but in creta, grand i10, xcent sir brakes fail ho jaati hai inki gaadio me. Unhe bhee please cover ki jiye
There is same issue in my i20 2014 there is issue with their abs system where on bad patches if you break hard the abs system gets confused make the paddle hard and release the break
Same issue is with creat 1st generation.. on rough roads abs does not works properly.. break pedal stucks some time..

I'm extremely agreed with him, same issue is there with my i20 (2017) also, I never get that initial braking byte, it feels like at the initial moments of braking, brakes usually struggle to handle the weight of the car. rather than it works perfect in end braking time & ABS also. Braking issues is there also in i20 . You may search in internet about i20 braking issues.

200% correct observation. When you are in a speed more than 70 km you won't get or feel the break bites! I have been driving i20 active disel sx version since 2015 from day one I had seen this, initially thought like it's because of abs but now realised that it's a big
issue.
I can feel the same with my Venue, specially on the highway, I can feel the breaking distance is way longer then what I have calculated before breaking.
I agree with him... the breaks dont feel that its being applied.. i owned first version of the hyundai i 2009 .. i too had this issue.. but when i changed the break pads it improved. i have feeling the pads given in the new car is not good quality for bite.
when i explained to Service man he said its because of the tuning of the ABS which is diffrent for each model ... and that need to be updated

Just and educational guess, since the user has some major accidental encounters just like me, I own a celerio CNG retrofitted which has completed 75k. I started facing same braking issue after the frontal collision and the issue exists till now as well. So, it might be possible that our cars lose their bite after frontal accidents because prior to that accident everything worked well in my car, in fact my model is w/o ABS.
This issue is common for diesel i20. Replace rotors and pads with custom hbx Taiwanese imports. Will cost around 25-30k in Karol Bagh

I felt this issue in my 2020 Creta, while breaking on rough roads, and while servicing they told me that it is because of ABS , in slow breaking it works smooth, but while on highway on high speed the issue occur, but after repadaling break the break works ...

I have same problem at speed of more than 60 and sudden break, but as per service center this is not an issue, this is the sign of abs working properly.
Even i have felt the same. Though it was not my own car, and was driving the i20 for the first time. The brake bite was not adequate.
That is one of the reason i never went for i20 and bought Nexon. Still old gen i20 design was lit🔥

Had this issue in my Swift Dzire also, due to which and wet roads we had accident, luckily only car got some damage. Later I upgraded the tyres from 175/65 to 185/65 from company fitted JK tyres to Bridgestone tyres and felt the braking, grip and comfort has been improved drastically.

I drive an Elite i20 Asta petrol (2018 Nov) model. The issue highlighted in the video is absolutely correct. I think that the brakes need to be larger for stopping a vehicle of that weight (i20 is pretty heavy compared to its rivals). Don't know if this issue has been corrected in the new gen i20. But I got used to the braking and accordingly adjust keeping in mind the braking distance.

Sir ye brake issue old creta, verna and i20 mein hai... Normal braking mein issue nahi hai but jab panic braking karte hai ya phir gaadi ghade mein jaati hai brake marte hue to brake ABS ki wajah se back mar jati hai aur phir lock hojati hai. Bahut bada issue hai known issue hai. ABS ka issue hai iska ABS bahut sensitive hai brakes mein issue nahi hai... Mere pas creta 2016 hai sir kya bataun kafi bar to 2-3 second ke lie brake fail hi hogayi thi bar bar brake press karne se bhi kuch nahi horaha tha and this issue is for every hyundai car. Hope you understood.

I have 2019 petrol,braking is fine,got one issue though,had my brake jammed,it literally got stuck,tried pumping it for 5mins then got back to normal,told the same during servicing and they told it is a common problem in those production model,it was fixed by them.

Same issue in 2019 petrol model even worst brake are almost useless in low rpm till 30-40km/hr.
He is right . Most hyundai accidents happen because of poor braking power of hyundai. I have seen many creta with very poor brakings.

I have faced same issue with creta specially on wet surface Hyundai ABS is not calibrated properly.. this is manufacturing defects..

Felt this issue with verna. Brakes are not reassuring and if you brake hard the abs kicked in and make krrkrrrr sound and tires also loose traction. I have driven 2019 model verna
This problem is also present in Creta 2020, when i press the brake hard during High speed & if the surface is not flat than abs kicks in very quickly & car doesn't stop quickly.
