Whatever your opinion is on Fate Stay/Night, you can't deny that this song is amazing.
For an opposing opinion, I liked the song AND the show, although next to the visual novel even the ufotable anime has problems.
I would add that the soundtracks (original from the VN and remixed in the show by Kenji Kawaii) are also great. IMO they are even superior to those in the ufotable animes (Especially the EMIYA theme).

I kind of feel sorry for those who didn't get to watch the DEEN version of F/SN before the Ufotable's because they'll NEVER EVER understand this old and deepest feeling of nostalgia.

But that's what I did after I watched Zero. I went straight to DEEN's version. Sure the style is dated as all hell but it's still better in many aspects compared to ufotable's stuff. Yeah I mean both the UBW anime and the HF trilogy.

Studio Deen's adaptation isn't terrible. It just tries to be more than just Fate. It is still pretty alright regardless. I personally recommend it before watching Ufotable's "Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works".

@@tsurugi5 I like the Fate route the most, besides having my favorite character Saber as the main heroine, the pacing of the story just lets me unwind, everything after it has been about amping the stakes and intensity of everything, this is the Fate that lets me chill that is not "Today's Menu for the Emiya Family".

そりゃufo版の作画には勝てんが(ていうか殆どのアニメが勝てない)、Fateのあの独特の雰囲気というか夜の不気味さや神秘のようなものをホントに上手く出してるし、OPも原点に相応しい、アニメにあったメロディで自分は1番好きだなぁ。

The first ever anime that I never skipped an opening on this music just feels nostalgic I just started this series and in my personal opinion it’s really well made since other people are saying it’s not good. Can’t believe I never witness any of their series since 2006

I just recently rewatched this. I can't deny that this has the best ost/music out of all fate series. It is also my favorite route. In my opinion :)
After watching all of the Fate anime adaptation’s I will say that this is one of my fav openings from the series because of that mysterious beat at the beginning.

自分もfate stay nightは大好きです。DEEN版は絵が下手だとか言われて批判されがちですが、ストーリーと音楽はDEEN版が一番優れていると思います。
僕も高校生で周りに知ってる人がいないから残念です。FGOを知ってるとかなら多少いますが、staynightとなるといないですね。
ホントにFate/staynightという作品に出会えてよかったと思います。

I just love it when this anime aired everyone love the shit out of it then soon as unlimited budget works came out later everyone start hating it and bashing on it.
I think most people started hating on this sometime around the CG dragon. There was eight years between the two adaptations, plenty of time for animosity to develop.
Actually everyone hated it ever since it aired. It was such a poor excuse of an adaptation. Anyone who read the vn hates the shit out of it. I've been hating it for years even before ubw aired.

Actually, Unlimited Blade Works had very average budget. The reason the animation is so good is stated by TYPE-MOON to be their very specific way of animating stuff + really good artists and animators.

This is my favourite op of all time. I watched Fate as one of my first animes by renting a DVD at the library when I must have been like 12 or 13. I don't care for Fate at all but there's just something mysterious and magical about this song. It just goes so hard and definitely defined my taste in music all those years ago.

First opening's original version, Fate/Stay Night TV Reproduction's version, and currently UBW (2014) version. Time flies.
Well it's the first opening to FATE STAY NIGHT & STAY NIGHT TV REPRODUCTION. I hope the reproduction is not the only version of Stay Night you have seen as the whole series was better. The reproduction is just a shortened version of the series & you'll miss a lot if not seen.
