Survivor would make a sweet RPG, if they made it more about resource gathering, dialog trees, and loyalty quests. Minigames would be present, but they'd be one-shot deals like the show and you could negotiate for immunity after the fact. Add in randomized NPC tribe mates with a multiplayer option, and you've got something. But that will never EVER happen.

There were a couple of PC games based on Survivor that came out in the early seasons. They had a very small selection of mini-games - I think it was 4-6 games total - and you only controlled one character. You spent a lot of time wandering around your tribe's camp, making alliances in case you couldn't win the immunity challenge. Obviously no alliances meant your chances of getting booted early were higher. It actually seems like the decade-old PC game was better and more thought-out than this.
There was a game on the computer that was much more like you would like to see, where you are one contestant the entire time, and you get to make alliances back at camp and stuff like that. It was pretty good :)
I often look forward the most to the part at the end of your review showing your character getting killed or failing. I must say this video's moment at the end made me laugh.

If they have to make a Wii game out of a tv show, imo, it should be at least either 80s Double Dare, Legends of The Hidden Temple, or Adamle-era American Gladiators

@NeverendingTwilight1 The Wii IS known for DECENT graphics. You look at games made or published by Nintendo, Capcom, Sega, Konami or Ubisoft, and you will see they all look good and most people have heard of their titles.
I agree. My Wii get's along great with my PS3 and the Wii is a very capable system. The problem is Nintendo's practically nonexistent quality assurance. For every Monster Hunter there are at least 3 dozen cannon fodder mini game collections. And speaking of Monster Hunter 3, I think it's time I fire up my Wii and have another go at that gem.

@gamingrocks100 I partially disagree. In most cases console games tend to look better than PC games, at least from my experience. I understand that the Wii can only play in 480p, but it can still be pushed to its limits to produce some truly beautiful looking titles (i.e. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Sonic Colors, and others). Given that the PS3 and 360 play in 1080p, however, their games do tend to look better. That doesn't make the Wii bad graphics wise, just not up to par with the other 2
@Mariofreakman Goldeneye, like many other good games for the wii, was pretty much just a re-vamp of an older game. The wii has several of these such as Resident Evil 4, Dead Rising, and old nintendo classics (many of which I own). However, games like Epic Mickey are awesome simply because the developers actually gave a damn about putting some effort into it, which is understandable because with a name like Disney plastered on it, you know the makers want it to live up to it's company's status.
@gamingrocks100 Yes, and I was agreeing with you when I said the other consoles' games "do tend to look better". I was disagreeing with you on the PC. I often find PC games to have inferior graphics to the Wii. Maybe I haven't played the right PC games, but it's just my opinion
I agree, everything was focused on the mini games.... and the after that just pick one thats gonna go... I wish there were more stuff about the Tribal Council. And even better, create custom characters... bleeh
while i agree that this game looks subpar by typical wii standards.... i think it is important to take into consideration that this game can be purchased brand new at most retail outlets for $12.99 to $14.99.... so keep that in mind, as you definitely get what you pay for.... but also, given that the typical gamer playing this paid less than $15 and is a fan of the show, this game is probably adequate. (i.e., i dont think someone paying $15 is expecting Zelda or Mario quality graphics/gameplay)
This game could be made so much better. Especially if it wasn't online game players could actually play each other with strategy as well as mini games, to be more like survivor.

@patsybob I disagree yes the Wii is limited BUT it can offer more then what this game offers. There are some pretty decent looking Wii games out there! Yes obviously there are certain technical limitations and in many ways..it does has allot of Gamecube style. Still.. it can do better then this! Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.. the one with that boy running through areas then doing Waggle Motion based mini games.
where did you find this game? is it even for sale in the U.S.? i cant seem to find it in any stores or even online anywhere..... (and yes, though the game looks like it sucks, i knwo a crazy fan that woudl love it as a gift)...

I like that he does this b/c you wont find reviews for games like this often that aren't incredibly biased and uninformative. So what if its often the dregs? He finds fun little budget games all the time that most otherwise wouldn't ever hear about.
@Paperclown agreed.... but the thing that wii has that PS3 doesnt is playability/funfactor.... i have a wii and a PS3 and i find myself preferring msot wii games the majority of times... sure the graphics are better on the PS3 9 out of 10 times, BUT... the wii games are about a million times more fun 100% of the time. online gamign is waaaay better on PS3 though. but again, comparing the 2 systems is really like apples to oranges. 90% of typical wii users dont play online...
Really the intro gave you hope? It looked like a dubbed Godzilla movie that should have been on the N64. I love all the poorly rendered fatties!!! :D Yeah if you want a good desert island game then play Sims 2: Castaways.Ignore the word sims, It doesn't play like a sims game at all cause they have no jobs or money. It plays closer to a rts where you collect resources and then build with them(and you can build almost anywhere). It's way better then Lost In Blue, way less miro-managing.
Tell me that the company that created this is NOT the same company that made the "Amazing Race" game. If it is, I don't even wanna WATCH that review...
@patsybob The graphics of the wii are far more capable than people think, games on the wii should be looking more like NiGHTS for the wii, unfortunately, the wii's low price makes it fodder for poorly-funded third party developers and the half-assed attempts they've made at making games always end up available for the wii.

I love the TV show, and i have to day i am really disapointed.
