Thank you Dimitra for your report! A similar building was built in Russia for orphans and "unwanted" babies at the end of XVII century. They called it "Воспитательный Дом". When Napoleon conquered Moscow, the building was used as military hospital.
Brunelleschi carried this theme of a square and a cube across to his two magnificent Churches, Santo Spirito & St Lorenzo Firenze. Interesting fact, the square is to the outside of the base to the bottom of the capital. The ROOT 2 of the interior square provides you with the height of the Capital. Similar calculations provide for the height of the Arches and positioning and height of the Architrave. To think all this was done with a compass and basic geometry and today, with all out technology and know, we produce ugly buildings

The height of the Arch (Intrados) is found by doubling the width of the internal Column spacing, measured from base.
