Alison at her best. I couldn't get a ticket to see them live when they toured the brilliant "Tales of us" album, so it's great to see Goldfrapp here in Cologne doing a few tracks from it. Just wonderful. IMO their greatest album.

I saw her/them live. Enchanting, mesmerizing, intoxicating, beautiful. There are not enough superlatives to describe that experience.
I was also completely sober.

I'm late in finding out about Goldfrapp; they strike me as a blend between Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil and Alison Goldfrapp as a young Debbie Harry with a silk voice with a hint of measured sensuality.
If you haven't already, I recommend you check out their concert at Shepherds Bush many years ago for some of their earlier songs. It's on UA-cam.
There's a part of me that was expecting her to play 'Cologne Cerrone Houdini'.
