It's amazing how God just revealed to me that my plugs was not connected LOL while you were talking...I took my valve cover off too after the fuel filter....went straight out there and plugged my sparks back up and the car turned on!! Heck I only made to 2:00 of your vid bro....THanks!
I have a 2002 GMC sierra 1500 pick up truck with 5.3 L V8 and I think its the fuel filter because I replaced a fuel pump about a decade ago but never the fuel filter. My engine light keeps coming on and off on and off and one day I was at idle speed and I notice my truck was having jitters and shake so it’s just shut down. I try to crank it back up, it will run for two minutes and then it will shut down do you think I need to replace my fuel filter?
This did solve it for me but before i did get a new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator! the fuel pressure regulator didn’t cost as much and i recommend getting it aswell
I have a 2002 4.3 it stalled while I had it idling and it cranks but no start already changed distributor cap and nothing but fuel pump still makes the humming noice so do you guys think it’s the filter ??
@@garynaegelimusic101 try checking all the small things first like fuses! Work towards the cheaper parts I would recommend and work towards the more expensive like fuel pump
@@marcfilms_572 yeah..when i put the new filter in it ran for about ten minutes then died..wouldnt start just cranked. I thought..ok I'll try re-installing it..wouldnt start again. yeah I'll have to start with fuses and relays...thanx

This did repair although i was still having fuel problems later on and did change the fuel pump but maybe you won’t need too !
What type of rims on the truck and size?

@@marcfilms_572 yeah cranks got it running three times but shut down after a few seconds. I changed fuel filter still won't start no more
fuck you could try to look into the fuel pressure regulators or maybe a any fuel related sensor or fuse

@@marcfilms_572 also..the fuel lines had pressure it them when I re-installed.
