      It’s not too hard. I do handrails. I work with a couple different builders. Metal handrails aren’t too much more expensive than a nice wooded rail, and people really like the metal look.

    Excellent job my brother, I suggest you use anchor bolts, would be about the same price as the epoxy and treaded rod, makes the installation faster, for the painting I like to use self etching primer. Great job again and thanks for sharing.

    You left the top of the sanotube creating a lake for the bases of the hand rail to sit in. Or did you come back and cut it off? Anyway, other then that, I think you did a fine job.

    For the people saying that no one would pay that much, its more of a reflection of were you are at. I do pressure washing and people easily pay me 800-1500 for A day's work (even in 2024). Please understand that they are paying for HIS SKILLS, TIME AND EQUIPMENT and that costs money. Also not every client is concerned with price. Price is just ONE factor they consider. Also it also depends on YOUR MARKET AREA PRICES. I have seen pressure washers charge half of what i charge for same work in other areas but their cost of living, expenses are way lower than up here in the pacific north west were im at.

    Is it cost effective to do this with TIG?

  • @ShaneRogers-b1t
    @ShaneRogers-b1t 3 місяці тому

    Just wondering. Why did you not put some embed plates in your concrete? I'm not saying that you did anything incorrect. There's so many different ways to construct. I think if it was my job , a piece of flat plate with some rebar or nelson studs welded on one side to hold the plate in the concrete. Then weld the uprights to the plate . Either way, I like what you did . I definitely learned some things. Thanks for the video

      Sonotube should not extend to the bottom of hole, only at grade level for more stable support. Sonotube will deteriorate in time and result in space between concrete and soil. Learned this the hard way.
