My goodness, he walks and talks like he's in his 60's. Certainly not 90. How amazing and what an incredibly generous person. If there were 100 of these kind of people (like Bob) in the USA, I think it'd be a very different place. I had heard of one other, in Michigan who had a paving company. Bob Thompson, Belleville, MI.
Makes you wonder doesn’t it? He eats organic food everyday, lives to 90+. We eat food with chemical fertilizers or that has been Genetically modified and most of us die of cancer far younger…
@@aclark903 it does! and our pets eat poorly too. After my 14 year old puppers crossed the rainbow bridge from cancer, I have been feeding her sisters homemade food ever since and I've gone about 90% vegan.
No company's product had ever compelled me to eat "healthy" Oatmeal or Quinoa consistently before Bob's Red Mill, he clearly had the magic touch, R.I.P...
Oatmeal, a dash of cinnamon, a little brown sugar in the raw, a sprinkle of walnuts, and soy milk, delicious breakfast every day for many years! We're of the same generation. Love playing the old "American songbook" melodies on the piano too. A couple fox trots to my collection of 1920's and early 1930s music on cds keeps one in shape, and it's FUN!!! What is not to like?
I remember watching this when it came out in 2020. I was still in middle school during the heart of Covid. The next day I came into school dragging. I went into my facs class and right there was bobs face waiting for Me to make pizza. I thought “hey it’s that guy I saw last morning”. That was a good day. Thanks Bob. Rest in peace my friend.
Once I tried tried his buckwheat hot cereal/porridge I haven’t eaten a bowl of oatmeal since. In my opinion it has a creamier texture and superior taste. Plus buckwheat is super healthy. 😋
Agree -- just wish buckwheat groats weren't two to three times the price of organic oats. I got several bags last year on clearance (local brand not Bob's) and enjoyed the taste too. Always keeping my eye out for sales.
I love Bob Red Mill's gluten-free oatmeal. I ate a bowl this morning with blue berries, cinnamon, and syrup! I had no idea he was also a compassionate employer! God bless his family and his legacy!
Thank you Bob, I eat your gluten free oat bran almost every day. The quality of those oats surpasses all the others I have tried. Quakers is a close second.
Why do the suggested recipies on their packaging always end up as just another Au Gratin of Melted Hippie casserole? Is it just me? - I'm not even a cannibal and it happens every single time!
@DashingPartyCrasher Normally, I would never blame anything else for my twisted sense of humor, but sure, why not? - I'll place the responsibility on spell check this time.
Awe...He passed yesterday...Blessings to him & his family!!!

Inspiring. I always thought that if I owned a successful company...I, too, would make it employee owned. Glad he did.
Cool story. RIP 🙏
Rip Robert Moore, you will be missed
Fantastic products.
He lived a good life.
Yeah he did.

Would that all companies were run with his ethos and generosity. RIP, Bob.

God bless the eccentric "Bobs" of the world, who devote themselves to making good things for the rest of us.
RIP, dear man, always a customer of yours ❤

Rachel’s Red Lentil soup on the back of the Red Lentil bag 😋😋 didn’t know he passed 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great company!
Got his oats in my kitchen. Makes great granola! RIP.
I remember reading Goffe's Mill in Middle School in 1976. Needs a modern reprint.
Don’t tell anyone you’re a part-owner. There will always be an equity group looking to buy shares till they have a controlling interest.

Beautiful story,🏭 rip🕊️Bob.❤✝️🙏✝️❤

So $200,000 to each employee?
I hope this doesn't end up like Paul Newman's product line.
Dream job happy employees and content owner who cares

Cannibal? I hope you meant a carnivore? 😆
I haven't tried any of Bob's recipes, only because I always prefer improvising.

Ah, np. I can appreciate twisted humor too!
